Comment:
OTM300 was a challenge. McClurg knew what he was talking about, but lectures were long videos that went fast and did not explain connections between ideas. The math shouldn't be hard, but the layout and pace of the videos made it more confusing than it needed to be. Found that quizzes and exams were difficult. Discussion practice problems helpful

Comment:
Nice guy and responsive to emails, but he did a bad job teaching this class online. His lectures were rare and short. Plus, his voice is very monotone and hearing it makes you feel depressed. You had to rely on the book to learn the content, which explained the concepts poorly and goes way too in depth. Most of his exam questions are book based.

Imagine you are swimming in a pool and you can't get out nor see the bottom. But Tim is there and he keeps pouring more and more water in overwhelming you. That is how it feels with the huge amount of (UNORGANIZED) information. I have never been so confused in my life. I wish you a lot of luck if you have him... And this concludes my review ;).

So far this guy is absolutely awful. Over the top with what he expects you to remember, doesn't even do any lectures hardly at all. Complete learn on yourself. What a joke

This class was based on two individual Excel analytics assignments, two group simulations, two exams that accounted for 15% each, quizzes, and online discussions. The only part of this class that was synchronous was in-person (or online) discussions, which weren't required for attendance but were helpful for the analytics and simulation assignment

Pretty easy class. It consists of quizzes and discussion posts every week (rotating back and forth each week), two individual projects, two group projects, and two exams. I took it online and you're pretty much able to get a 70%-80% on exams and quizzes without even watching lectures as most of the questions are online. I never went to discussion.

Professor McClurg is a very nice guy. More than half your grade is based on exams, do the practice problems and study lecture slides even from guest lectures. There are two individual analytics assignments, two group simulations, and reading quizzes. You don't really have to read, just attend lecture.

Professor McClurg is a very nice guy and pretty solid lecturer. Be sure to print out the lecture slides as it makes taking notes a ton easier. The midterm was straightforward if you study the practice/your notes. Reading the textbook might help, but definitely isn't a requirement. The 2 simulations are a pain, but everything else is pretty easy.

One of the finest professors at the school! Only two tests that are very easy if you study the practice exam and lecture slides. 2 group projects and 2 individual assignments are also very manageable!

Class is super easy. Lectures aren't mandatory and discussion isn't either. Posts the slides online. Exams are half multiple choice half free response math problems. Just review PowerPoints & you should be fine. Just a group simulation project and one individual excel project. Other half of class was taught by other profesor.

Tim is extremely nice, helpful, and the content is straight-forward. The 2 exams are 37.5% each, but very fair - study the lecture slides, do the practice problems and you'll do well. There are mini reading quizzes and 2 group project simulations.

If I had to describe Tim in one word it would be baller. The class isn't super interesting, but he's a super nice guy who loves OTM. It's hard not to like him. There are two major tests, but the practice material is SUPER helpful. Bravo Tim, bravo!

Tim was one of my favorite professors at UW. He's funny and really passionate about the topic he's teaching. There are 2 exams - each worth 37.5% of the final grade. I know it's an overwhelming number, it scared me a ton at first but there are ZERO surprises on the exams. They're near identical to the practice problems he puts out weeks before!

As a marketing major, I thought this class was really boring at times. I was not interested in the material, but Tim is a great professor. He really knows what he's talking about, and you can tell. There are quizzes each week online (4 or 5 points) and a few simulations and projects as well as the exam. Go through practice problems before exams.

I had Tim for the Fall 2012-2013 semester. The material is not the most exciting so lectures can be boring but it is a required business course. Tim is a really nice guy who cares about his students, go to his office hours to get to know him.

He's a good guy and leads a pretty straightforward class. Take the quizzes and use Top Hat in class for participation. A couple group assignments and a couple individual ones. Not super hard material, just make sure you go through the practice problems and readings for multiple choice questions before exams.
