do. not. take. her. I like anthropology but she is making me hate it. She assigns a crazy amount of work and expects everyone to do everything exactly right, despite giving NO guidelines. She is a very harsh grader and acts as if we are graduate students who are already very knowledgeable. She seems sweet but the class is SO rough.

Her online class was an insane amount of work. I've written 11 papers and done two projects and its just past midterms. She is rude with her grading and expects too much of intro level students. Would not reccommend

Get ready to read and write, write, write. Quinn is very interesting but I wouldn't recommend taking more than one of her classes at a time. She requires two pages of writing per week for most of her classes in addition to a final paper. Very enthusiastic and approachable though.

Prof. Quinn really loves anthropology, so even if you don't like the subject, her enthusiasm will keep you going. The course is super easy - use the book and her study guide to study for the tests and you'll do fine.

Dr. Quinn is the cutest lady ever! Her class was very easy IF you read the assigned textbook. She is super passionate about Anthropology and I think that's what made me become interested in it. She loves videos so be prepared to watch a lot and read a lot. Her tests are super easy! Just study the textbook and she gives study guides!

I had her in fall 2011. Very enthusiastic about anthropology. Very caring. Weekly 2-page papers on assigned homework readings. Allows do-overs for those papers. 2 tests--the final took me 11 pages front and back to write. Pay attention to in-class movies. Classes are lectures and discussions. Textbooks are necessary.

I would not take this class again. Professor Quinn is a sweet lady, and she has a greate enthusiasm for her subject! But she is SO scatterbrained when giving notes. She literall just jumps from topic to topic. Also, there's only 2 tests, and they're both really hard. She never really tells you what she wants from you. Trust me, don't take her!!

I do NOT reccommend this class! Only 2 tests the whole year and weekly 2 page essays. She is a very sweet lady but I don't like the class, its my worst grade! She grades hard and her midterm was impossible.

Super enthusiastic, comical at first but you realize how passionate she really is. Encourages discussion but makes it comfortable in class. A two page paper most weeks and a multiple choice midterm and final w/ an added essay on the final, plus an easy and fun project. Really relevant to today, too. Great class, take it! Take her for others too!

Professor Quinn is the best professor I have ever had at this college. She's very bright, and funny and encourages fun, insightful discussions. This class offers so much more than expected. She has a way of enabling her students to think outside the box, and that was really cool to be a part of.

While she does seem to be a very nice and caring woman, she is not a good teacher; she sporadically jumps from one topic to another without clarifying or organizing her ideas. The material is simple and very basic; nothing is really studied in-depth, but rather many topics are covered very generally, and she has students talk about as often as she.

Dr Quinn is THE sweetest prof. at the College of Charleston. The class is very interesting, and although the crictical notes ARE mundane it is worth taking. Not many assignments, one mid term, paper for the final. She's very intelligent and super nice. Take her!

Quinn is a really sweet lady, but she kind of picks favorites. The more you talk in class, the better your grade will be. But pretty much no matter what you do, and how hard you try, your grade will remain the same even if you do what she asks you to do on the hw assignments (which are just notes from readings & class). Easy B.

She has pet students & if U R not 1 then look out! Tests R easy but short, so if U get 2-3 questions wrong U have seriously hurt your grade. Written assignments R ambiguous. When I tried 2 write my best I only got average grades- when I didn't try @ all she gave me A's! Great class but she must B bipolar(U can never figure out where U stand w/ her)

She is a great teacher, and tries to make class interesting. It was one of my most interesting classes i've taken. however it is impossible to make an A. I made a 100 on the midterm and somehow still didn't make an A. So don't expect an A and you'll enjoy the class.

Dr. Quinn is cool and kind of off the wall. She'll surprise you with some of her lectures.. and circle time is always fun. Be prepared for class.. it's alot of reading but alot of it is common sense too. When she feels like the class hasn't read the assigned materials, she just lectures and tells people to be prepared for the next class. Not bad!

Comment:
Dr. Quinn is easy to work with!! She is very strict about attendance, but lenient on the reading assignments! She assigns reading every class, but if she gets the feeling nobody read it, she'll just lecture the material, and tell everyone to get better at preparing for class! Her exams are fairly easy if you've read the books and have common sense!
