He doesn't have a textbook, he has class notes, and they do a bare minimum to help you understand the content. At some points we were begging for a textbook bc we genuinely didn't understand what was going on. Even then, his tests are convoluted and made no sense either. The only way to pass this course is to first learn how to deal with him.

Seminar was pretty basic from both semesters, but the grading of my seminar presentation was very fair (came a few minutes short of the target 14-15 minutes)

The guy literally makes you feel like youre in high school. I took Rocks for Jocks for a small science credit and its ended up being way more work. Im a fourth year computer engineering major and this guys attitude alone makes me not want to try at all in his class. His tests and quizzes are also unfair, in that theyre extremely specific.

Dr. Kujawa is a great teacher. To be successful you need to read all of the notes he hands out, pay attention in class, and study. He is very knowledgeable about the subject and emphasizes comprehension over memorization. He allows redo's on all quizzes and tests which is great. However, he takes 10 points off a quiz or test if he hears a phone.

I personally didn't like the class at all, i withdrew because the test and quizzes were so much different then book he gave. Allows retakes on test and quizzes but they are harder the second time, Gives extra credit but barely affects your grade. Good teacher, hard class, Also, he's legit 95 years old.

I'm not sure why everyone is rating him as a 4-5 difficulty, this class is not hard. Dude hands you an A he curves tests by throwing out 3-4 questions, has weekly help sessions, every test/quiz can be retaken, extra credit is given for attendance/attending help sessions. Idk how these people pass other profs classes at UCF if hes a 4-5 difficulty.

He is quite old and uses old types of teaching methods. Often calls out students on their phones, and is VERY picky about cheating. Goes to just about every precaution possible to ensure people don't cheat. The raw material can be difficult to handle, but he gives good chances to help your grade. Long dull lectures about info you can read yourself.

I had to work a bit for my A, but he offers a lot of extra credit. Showing up to every class on time and sitting through an, albeit, dull lecture will give you at least 5% extra credit. He has extra credit assignments and lots of extra credit on tests. Even the homework gives you extra credit. Put in some effort and you should get an A.

It's difficult to follow what's going on in Chem. seminar (especially if its first semester). Dr. Kujawa does send a couple emails with all the assignments for the semester, I'll give him that. But other than that, dont expect to be reminded. MAKE SURE YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO AND BY WHEN YOU HAVE TO DO IT.

no phones, getting stared down while taking tests, and the longest lectures ever are just a few things you should expect while taking this class. On top of that the tests are so hard and makes me feel dumb. People do pass though because of test retakes and attendance serves as extra points added to the test, so its possible but a challenge.

He took some getting used to, but I ended up really liking the class. His voice is very monotonous, so beware of that if you fall asleep easily. There are a lot of extra credit opportunities and he allows retakes on everything if your attendance is high. GO TO CLASS. You're setting yourself up for failure if you don't.

He's a good guy and gives plenty of help sessions + retakes, but overall the class was difficult and the material is boring. I passed the class, but it was the hardest class I've ever taken.

He is a very smart guy who knows the subject better than the back of his hand. That being said he doesn't seem to relay that well in teaching it to the students. I personally enjoy the subject of geology and and had a very hard time getting it through the way he wanted it to be taught. I would not recommend this class whatsoever, take ANYTHING else

The professor allows test and quiz makeups, which is awesome. But, on top of studying the age of dirt, it's like being taught by someone older than dirt. It's hard to hear him during lectures, and very dry and boring. But, you can easily learn the material from the textbook. If you won't be needing this information in future, it's an ok class.

Everything in the course was designed to be learned from the homework and not through classroom instruction. It is really disappointing to have to sit in a class-room for an hour and a half only to listen to the professor read off what you already taught yourself while doing the homework the night before. Lots of tests and quizzes, tricky questions

DO NOT BUY TEXTBOOK. I struggled so much in this class at the beginning because I tried just memorizing. After a while I figured out that if you re do the homework without notes until you can get about 80% correct you will pass the tests/quizzes. Go to help sessions any time you can.

I really enjoyed Dr. Kujawa's Geology course. Yes, the material can be dry at times, but there are a ton of interesting facts about planet earth you learn during the semester. He's super nice and offers multiple chances for extra credit. His tests are on a Scantron but don't let that fool you, he's very specific with answers. Homework isn't bad

his teaching style is pretty monotonous and boring. it is hard to concentrate and the tests are very complex and nothing like the homework. however, he does review the test afterwards if you stay after class, and retakes are always available. it is a tough class to follow, mainly because of the layout of tests and lectures, but he is very helpful.

When I tell you I have never taken such an inconsistent professor in my life, I would be lying. Dr. Kujawa's explanation of everything and anything he taught was so misleading as to what would be on the tests or quizzes. I attended every class and studied often and still got terrible results from this class. Please, do not take his class. REGRETS!
