Basically; if you give him your time and attention during class. Yeah; he does have an accent, but if you ask him questions he will be happy to answer them. When it comes to the labs he is a decent grader. Make sure you write what he says after he passes back your labs, because it will be useful to know what he wants. Follow the lectures/handout

Prof. Chan is like that ancient eastern man full of wisdom that you run across within your a few times in yourlife time. Stating he's hard to understand is such a cop out, simply pay attention. If anything, putting together what he says helped me learn more! He's caring and if you get to know the man and show that you value educ., you will pass. -C

He has a really thick accent and he just flies through the powerpoint, just talking to himself. You have to write a lab report for each of your weekly labs and he just expects for you to know how to write it. He's a terrible grader on the reports, he always looks for something to be wrong with it. Don't expect for a review on any of the quizzes.

He rambles which normally wouldn't be too bad, but he has a pretty thick accent on top of that. He puts the labs up about a week in advance so you have time to read them through and they aren't too difficult. There are field trips so just make sure to mark them down on your calendar.

Professor Chan is a little hard to understand, but if you focus and pay attention to his powerpoints, lectures, and notes he writes on the board, you will do fine. He gives you a few questions from the tests beforehand. I did not think his tests were impossible. He knows what he is talking about! He has dry humor. Great guy!

He is very difficult to understand and he just go straight off the powerpoints. His lectures are very boring, but he knows what he's talking about. His quizzes are impossible but he gives you sample questions from the quizzes beforehand to study from. Overall, he's an alright teacher.

Ah, he tries to be fun and nice. However his class is very boring. He could make it more interesting it's just not. He puts a lot of effort into it- however,it is awful. You have to print out the notes before class and its honestly like 500 pages. DONT BUY THE BOOK!! He is a nice nice person though.

Dr. Chan is a difficult professor to understand. His quizzes are extremly hard, don't expect to pass them. He knows not many people pass the quizzes so he gives tons of extra stuff to boost your grade up. He even counts a 3 minute presentation as two 100's on quizzes. Overall, great guy..easy labs..boring lecture.

Nice guy, class is kind of boring, lots of notes but labs are easy. As long as u try u'll get a decent grade i failed one of the tests with a 56 and still managed to get a B+ in the class

this guy is impossible to understand. you take a lot of notes and the tests are impossible. labs are easy grades but if you fail every test it doesnt help. the final is taken right from the tests so if you study the tests youll be fine. i ended up with a C+ and i failed every test badly

He is very thorough, and you will learn in his class if you pay attention. I will admit he has a bit of an accent, but he goes out of his way to make you understand, even if that means writing the word he's saying on the board. He should not be criticized for being from another country. Not to mention, he is very kind.

Well as a bio major and very interested in bio I have to say this guy makes me want to drop out of school. You think that bio II would be a cake class for a bio major...NOT w/this guy! Doesn't use the book which is good for most classes but for this one, it had me totally lost and way too many notes

this guy was the one class i hated going to...long notes...long lectures...i took bio in high school and did good but for this guy i struggled to get a b...doesnt speak english very well and is hard to focus on...nice guy but wow
