Awesome teacher. Very kind and helpful. Occasionally he repeats material, but he knows everything under the sun about Shakespeare and really encourages his students. Make sure to actually READ the plays. You'll get so much out of it. The research paper may seem daunting, but it is actually fun and the directions are clear-cut. Would take him again!

Very knowledgeable about Shakespeare but other than having you read them out of class he didn't really bring much to the table. Would not take again.

If you're willing to do the work, he will go out of his way to work with you. Slackers would do well to avoid his classes, but I've taken him twice and would do so again in a heartbeat. REALLY helped me with my writing. A great guy who knows everything and is willing to share it.

He's very scatter brained and repeats information a lot. Stories and facts rarely have a purpose. Very intelligent, definitely knows EVERYTHING about Shakespeare, but gets too off topic for serious discussion and learning. Very VERY tough grader.

Although I didn't really care for his class while I had him, looking back, I did enjoy it a little. For a core course, it wasn't horrible, but it was not easy. He can be very unclear at times, but he has good intentions. Not an easy A, I have a 3.93, and his class is the only I have received a B+ in.

My favorite teacher of the semester and a good friend. He teaches very well, is organized, and is just brilliant. I appreciate his simple yet effective way of explaining. I hope to have him as a teacher again later on. :)

Easy class all you do is discuss Shakespeare's play and the homework it light. The Research Paper is the most absurd thing you have ever written on. It takes FOREVER and is the most confusing and ridiculous time wasting paper you have ever been asked to write.

He does NOTHING to help you with the paper and grades it extremely hard. You really dont have to read the books to get by, you can even survive without sparking until the night before the midterm and final. Minimal work, but hard grader, and not helpful. There are definitely better ways to go for your upper English requirement.

hard grader on the research paper but everything else wasn't that bad. only one long paper all year. you never have to read the plays (except for the acting part) but use sparknotes alot. you can get over a B if you just use sparknotes for everything but remember to look at every section of sparknotes for each play especially theme/motifs/symbol
