Comment:
Dr. Lynch taught the lab portion of Ecology, and was great for hands-on knowledge in the field. However, very unclear grading criteria and he's a tough grader. You never know what he actually wants on labs - so be sure to ask! Study hard for his midterm/final. They're difficult and very specific from procedures in the lab.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS! This professor will screw you. His test are impossible, you can studied as much as you want or can and still will fail the tests. The easiest thing to pass in the class is the article reviews and forum questions. impossible .

Very educated man but way behind the learning curve of this generation. Every class, we went over notes off a projector. Every class. The most multimedia thing we had was sometimes pictures and graphs. Interesting subject, not interesting teacher. Have fun trying to stay awake.

A nice man who has been teaching for a very long time, but his knowledge didn't always translate well into his lectures. Every day was the same, going off of projected notes. The writing assignments were ok but I felt like we weren't always prepared for the tests. He made resources available to us online, but I would've appreciated more in class

This class brings up interesting points and controversies, and Mr. Lynch does a reasonable job explaining the controversies without coming off as a complete environmental fanatic. In fact, he is very calm and boring. The lectures are long. Tests are on the lectures, and cover a lot of material, so force yourself to pay attention. Straightforward.

Nice guy but the class is SO BORING. He reads off of projector slides and you can print them onlinewrite them down. Tests are pretty clear but there is a TON OF STUFF TO STUDY. You have to work hard for a good great but it is possible to get an A. Boring and lots of work, but nice guy and willing to help you out.

Dr. Lynch is a very nice guy. Pretty boring, he simply reads notes off of an overhead projector all class. Still if you can pay attention and use his online resources (old tests) it's very straightforward. He is very smart and passionate in the subject.

Undoubtedly knows his material. Undoubtedly one of the most boring teachers I've ever had too. He's a very nice guy, I liked him, but the material is as dry as the deserts he talks about, if you can stay awake long enough to hear about them. Tests are so hard too. Have to study at least 3-4 hours to get an A/B.

Prof Lynch is a really nice man. He clearly cares about his students, so he will answer any question and is very approchable. Tests were easy if you pay attention and do the online review questions. He warns that the average grade is a C on the first day, but don't be scared.

Overall good professor. This class is purely discussion rather than lecture so it is never boring. Dr. Lynch is open to many views in medical ethics so you are not necessarily a horrible person in his book based on your personal views. Tests are fair with 50% objective and 50% subjective essays.

Really really nice guy, with a lot of kowledge about what he's teaching. Likes to tell stories. But his tests are vague and so is his grading on them. Hard to know what he's looking for. Definitely take time to study for the exams...

Nice guy, boring class. Overhead notes entire class. Tests are impossible, but drops lowest grade- test questions are not in class notes, book, or sample tests. Teaches topics on tests after tests were given. Always starts a new topic when class has ended. Only grade saver are the article reviews.
