The textbook is your number one lifeline. Dr M is a decent professor. Probably the best one for the lecture portion of orgo at NMU. The averages for every exam was in the 60s and she does not curve anything. Go to every lecture or you will fall behind fast. Read everything in the Textbook and do all of the practice problems in order to pass.

Dr. McCormick was clearly a biased teacher and unwilling to work with her students. All Im going to say is dont expect her to care about you at all.

Dr. McCormick was the best chemistry teacher I've had so far. Organic is HARD, but she makes it bearable. Even though attendance isn't mandatory make sure you go to lecture, its very easy to behind. She try's to make lectures as easy to understand as possible and her exams are fair to what she goes over in class. Highly recommend.

This teacher is amazing in class, or online during a pandemic. Her pedagogy is unmatched in my opinion. She cares about her students, and wants them to care too. Try not to just learn for the test, learn it for good! Organic chemistry I and II are inherently difficult, but Dr. M will get you through it if you do your part.

Great teacher for organic chem. She really teaches you how to critically think. Exams are really hard and there is some homeowork but if you work hard it's not hard to get a good grade.

She is a good professor. Not the best, but considering that the chemistry department is really small its not like you have a lot of choice. The class is though, but there is homework, and some extra credit to help you out. Again can't say that she was a great teacher, or a bad one...she might be the most average professor at NMU.

Franki is an awesome professor! I took her for both 321 & 322. As long as you do the homework and take the practice quizzes these classes should be fairly easy. She clearly explains everything and is very willing to help you with anything. She is always putting her students first by giving clear assignments. The lab section is a lot of work though.

The class is very difficult, but she makes a great effort in teaching you the material. You will move fast through it and will have to put in a lot of time outside of class. She is very clear and the material is all understandable, but it is like learning a new language, so you need to be practicing the course on a consistent basis. Good overall!

Excellent professor. Sometimes takes awhile to return tests, but overall she's great. O-chem is an extremely difficult subject, but she makes it doable. After having her for 2 semesters in a row, it was sad to say goodbye! She knew all 80-or-so of us by name.

Wonderful lady, sometimes flies through topics but its a must to cover the amount of material. This class requires A LOT of time. When you take this class expect it to take over your life. Good luck and make sure you do the problem sets.

she did a lot to help me understand the subject. lots of practice quizzes and exams and problems to work on were great. she gets a little stressed, but she does a lot for us. before every exam and the final there is a 2 hour study group where she answers anything you still need help on. also take the discussions section too- it helps a lot.

I could not have asked for a better organic chemistry teacher! She is so sweet, and is great at explaining things. She seems like a really busy person, but still has time to take care of her chemistry students.

Her first semester on this subject. She is very helpful but she seemed tired and extremely busy. Tough subject, but she made bonus points and opportunities to correct past mistakes with future tests as your skills improve. If your not good with visualizing 3 dimensional objects buy a model kit. Good professor, hard class.
