Comment:
Have since graduated from UofT and specialized in Russian History/Politics. She was the worst prof. I had looking back. Not helpful, unclear in her guidelines, rude comments on papers, promised "full grades," and then retracted. Would stand up for 2 hours going on and on about pointless material that had no bearing on the course. Avoid if possible.

I can't say I understand these other comments, Young is actually quite bad. She tries, but suffers from a severe lack of organization. She is unable to project the organization that is on her notes, so she comes off all over the place. Furthermore, whats up with the feminist slant on everything. I'm taking Imperial Russian History here, not feminism

Comment:
Prof. Young is a really good teacher. It's a pleasure to study with her! She clearly tries hard to provide interesting examples from the historial record to make her points. Her lectures supplement and synthesize the readings so that the sweep of Russian history in all its fascinating facets becomes clear.
