Boring. very, very, extraordinarily boring. It is honestly the only class I have taken and had trouble staying awake in.

I have completed 8 semesters and have never experienced a teacher like this. By far the worst teacher (if you can use that term) I have ever had. She restates the textbook on an overhead, I question her true knowledge of subject matter. She seemed more interested in something other than her students desire to learn.

This was an awful experience. Her teaching style is best described as "primitive". I've done extremely well in every other class I've taken at UMaine with the exception of hers. You must attend every lecture, or you're screwed for the rest of the semester. Avoid her at all costs!! I've never spent so much time/energy on a 100 level class.

You know, I liked her. It took a while to get used to her teaching style but once I did, I found myself enjoying it. As others have stated, she does not do well with questions in the middle of class...just hold off and ask her after class.

This woman is incredibly boring, and I struggle to stay awake in class. And I don't know why people have a hard time with the class, the concepts are pretty simple.

Not clear about grading or anything else for that matter. You could study years in advance and still get a 60. It seems as if she is partial to students who think like her, and leaves everyone else in the dust. Needs to add more elements to grade instead of just exams. Doing practice exams and reading the book doesn't help.

Not very good at explaining more difficult issues, and horrible at listening to what you are saying. I have a 4.0 within this major and have had multiple eco professors, many of which would tear her teaching style apart. She needs a reality check. Not good at answering questions she is not prepared for.

She really knows her stuff but has a hard time actually teaching it. You must attend every class to do well. Very primitive class, she writes everything on an overhead. Tests are VERY difficult and usually straight from the notes, I hardly even glimpsed at my $150 book.

Wow. That's the first thing that comes to mind when talking about Kearney. She really knew her stuff but her tests were really hard. You have to study like it's a final every test. Her voice is kind of brutal. She will kick you out if you talk and that is a fact. She wasn't my favorite let's put it that way.

She teaches the class as if she were talking to a group of economists that already know everything. Her tests are 100% notes that you have to copy down in class. She writes everything down on the over-head at a very fast pace.

I wish I could have taken this class with another professor. I think the class material isn't hard at all, However she makes it hard. Awful professor, she is unorganized, 6 pages of notes which just reads off and writes on the board. She's no help outside of class. I have a 3.5 in ECO and she told me I don't understand basic econmics. Avoid!!!!!

The most primitive lecturer of Umaine perhaps. She uses chalk to write notes and we have to copy them like kindergarden kids. U miss 1 class and you'll be behind coz she links everything she teaches together n the exam is from class notes. Don't buy any book coz its useless but you'll have to visit the library quite often coz her notes useless too.

AVOID AT ALL COST. I am a "A" student and i found this class the worst of my entire college career. She uses black-board for lecture notes. You have to copy word by word and its hard to understand her nonsense handwriting. Tests are X-tremely hard and can't finish in time. Very unclear leacture an disorganised. She is nice from outside but beware!!

She was crazy. She kicks people out of class if she hears even the slightest sound coming from you. She'll stare at you even for coughing. Her test were very confusing, she words things so horribly. Go over the practice exams and stuff she posts in the folders. She is not very accommodating, and refused to meet with me at the end of the semester.

Don't bother going to class. Just read the assigned chapters and do the practice exams and you will do great. I only attended maybe 6 classes all semester (three of which were test dates) and got an A.

Tests are based on the notes that you take in class, and I felt that she was pretty clear & covered everything that was on the tests. Tries to get people involved, but it is hard in a class of 350. Don't talk or she will give you an evil stare & throw you out.

Shes a good teacher, unclear sometimes but you can make sense out of what shes saying by reviewing your notes. Go to class, the text book study guide does a lot of good for the tests. she kicks you out for talking hahaha
