Comment:
I really don't understand what this class was. Overall, the work isn't too hard but everything was disorganized and nothing is consistent. She doesn't use canvas and the class starts with weird quizzes that apparently might not even count? She can be a bit rude to students. You should be fine passing this class but the teacher is not great.

Do not take her, no matter what class it is. This professor was, by a wide margin, the worst I've had in college.

Dr. Morgan is the best. She's fun, articulate, and interesting. Her style is a major trip from what most young college students are used to, thus the whiny ratings below. If you go to class, listen, and do your work, you're golden. I had Dr. M for four classes over the years, and they've always been the best. She's Teacher of the Year for a reason!

I cant speak for everyone. But let's just say that she did not inspire much trust in her. She is articulate but also mean.

Lots of chitchat between her and her favs. Does not have an even hand in grading papers. In conference she will tell you anything, but later make it clear that she did NOT mean it. I think that she has a very deeply-ingrained mean streak.

I took a course with her a while back. Agree that grading is skewed. Nice in class but after class conference can be a different story. Avoid

Whatever good can come from being in her class is offset by the by the bad. My opinion: grading is skewed and uneven. English major males are graded more severely than females.(I am a female). Keep your eyes open. Blatant favoritism abounds. AVOID.

Definitely recommend taking this professor. Though I was not a fan of the course material covered, such as: the stories we had to read, she is fantastic. If you need help just ask, she is sincere and always makes herself available to talk. Though class is mandatory, I highly enjoyed attending her class. The atmosphere was always light and fresh.

Dr. Morgan is, by far, one of the best professor's I have ever had. I would highly recommend her class to anyone that is willing to work hard; she is always very willing to help when you are having difficulty in any area. I have learned so much from her class!

At first I did not know what to expect from Dr. Morgan. I found her class to be very helpful especially as an English major. She is willing to help so long as you are willing to work. Dr. Morgan is not extremely tough, but you will do work. You will definitely appreciate this course in the end! Do not let other peoples ratings stray you!

Don't know where anyone got the idea that she "respects your opinion." You should read her remarks on my papers. I found her to be very closed-minded.

Don't be afraid, she's not that bad. I found her to be open, honest and willing to help. Try to write with an "original voice" in your papers and she will grade accordinly. She rewards creative ideas and thinking. Don't be a cookie cutter student and she will appreciate your presence in her class. Try to talk to her before or after class, too.

Class was interesting and the assignments were interesting, but I found her to be biased and opinionated to the point the point of disbelief. Rewards free thinking only if she agrees with you.

This woman is wonderful. SHe does actually make you use that thing called a brain and (God forbid) THINK! If you just read the lit then you'll do fine. You dont have to agree with her opinions to do well.... just actually have opinions! Do your work and you will get an A.

Nice enough, but very out of her element when it comes to writing about lit. It's obvious she's more of a technical writer, and doesn't enjoy investigations of deeper meanings. Grading is skewed...when you see some of the things she appreciates more, they're not the higher quality...difficult to know what hse wants.
