Horrible class overall! A lot of work that needs to be done in a very confusing way. The syllabus is beyond unclear and so are expectations and directions for assignments. Also likes to talk down and belittle students. SHU is doing a great disservice by keeping him in a teaching position. Avoid if possible!

This class was a complete roller coaster. The lecture itself seems simple, but his overall quality of teaching is terrible. He goes through the textbook slides and expects you to understand the associated math with no actual examples. His tests somewhat work off of the homework, but only sometimes. Chegg is a must for this class.

Really nice guy but, his teaching is meh at best. He breezes through his lecture slides during class unless you ask him to go over the math. Gives you a sample exam before the exam, but the material is only a fraction of what's on actual the exam. Don't forget to do your homework, it's worth as much as the tests.

Amar is a smart man but not a good Professor. Last day of class he went through the attendance records and blasted those he felt either didn't attend class often enough or didn't give him the attention he was due. Useless.

Awful, absolutely terrible, I got an A in his class and I'm still saying this. Taught me absolutely nothing, could have studied the text and got the same grade, looking to make your life harder.

I was warned against taking any classes with Amar. However I needed to take an additional class to graduate in May. I took him for Managing Knowledge Workers and he was awful. He's petty with being on time and being in your laptop or computer. His book is super expensive and full of his lame ideas. I have no plans to take him for the capstone.

I took him twice. First for Knowledge & Innovation Management. It was a boring class, but I learned a lot from him because he is very knowledgeable. Then I took Capstone. HATED IT. I don't think a professor that has not run a company or worked outside of academia should be teaching that class. Take Capstone in the summer, less work & time flies.

If you enjoy public humiliation, enjoy taking Capstone with Amar. Otherwise, wait until the course is offered with someone else. It is a shame that Seton Hall ends its MBA experience with this professor.

I took two classes from him and both got A grade. On the first class i thought he was kind of boring, but then i realized he has abundant knowledge of his field. Very intelligent professor. Even some students are not showing enough respect to him, but he is still nice enough to take it. He could throw lots of work to you, but i also learned many.

he teaches what he has to but he reads straight off his slides like the whole class is retarded and cant read for themselves.very unhelpful and arrogant. he picks on even the best students if he thinks u might have spaced out for a sec and makes an idiot out of u. he is never wrong! i had him from 835-1045pm and he'll never let out a secbefore 1045

idk what everyone is complaining about. Not gonna lie his methods and assignments are a little out there but overall hes a cool dude, and grades pretty easy. Lot of presentations but almost automatically gives u a perfect grade even if you dont present. Boring beg of the year but got alot funnier, and he takes jokes very well

It is a shame that the Capstone class was by far the worst class in the MBA program, perhaps the worst class abywhere. It has potential to be good but he ruins it. There is more work in this class than any of the HUBS. Amar has no respect for students and he acts like he knows everything. Do yourself a favor and not take him for this class.

This guy is getting killed for all the wrong reasons. You can understand him about as well as the average American college undergraduate, except he is from India; what is your excuse? He's a nice guy and grades reasonably but the problem is he assigns too much work. If you're a full-time working MBA, sorry.

First of all he doesnt speak english very well. To make up for it the text book is a book he wrote. He writes the same way he talks. Very unclear. He always thinks that he is right no matter what. He is the worse teacher I have ever had in my life. That includes elementary school!

He didnt do much in the class because that wasnt what the class was about but he was very helpful with anything you need. He thinks he is gods gift to business though and can be selfish sometimes. I think he is better then the alternatives that teach this class. See Azriel and Forbes.

He is a very sweet man. Gave several opportunities for extra credit and often emailed to say he was available in his office if we had any questions for him. Was able to laugh at himself and cares about his students.
