Let me start off by saying if you have Yoon AND Schild you should take the class, otherwise I would stay away. He is difficult to understand but the recorded lectures should be of Professor Itzkowitz, who is absolutely BRILLIANT! You will survive with Schild and Itzkowitz together, definitely recommend one of those two.

I love this Dr. Yoon. He is a great man that truly cares about each student. Don't listen to the negative reviews. Easiest class I have ever taken. Would definitely recommend him to anyone that wants an easy elective and wants to learn as well. Dr. Yoon has helped me see the world through a different perspective.

He is infatuated with China. Both the class and material are boring. During class he just walks around, barking his lecture material at students. There are three presentations, one midterm, one final and a group research paper. For the exams, there are a lot of opinionated essays and fill-in-the-blanks you have to memorize and write.

Stay as far away as possible. The fact that he is still employed by the university is beyond me. How can they allow someone like this to continue teaching? The other reviews do not lie. He is the absolute worst. The only reason to take Yoon is to lower your GPA

The worst professor I've ever taken. Incoherent, talks down to students, illegible writing, next to no review for exams, and the harshest grader I've ever seen (he awards 0 partial credit, even for answers that are 99% correct, you will get no credit). This guy hands out D's and F's like candy. Avoid at all cost if you want to keep your GPA intact.

One of the worst experiences I have ever had with a professor. Highly condescending towards students, even when they are simply asking for help. Seton hall should stop regarding some professors so highly especially when they care so little for their students.

Dr. Yoon is not a bad professor. You just have to work a little harder for his classes. He does expect you to memorize all the formulas (not sure why as i the real world you have them in front of you) but if you can grasp that concept, his tests and assignments are not bad. most of the questions are very similar to what he goes over in class.

The truth about Yoon cont'd: you better be a full time grad student w/ plenty of time to study, or a financial wizard when it comes test time. Extremely tough grader w/ no flexibility. The worst grade of grad school thus far - had a 3.65 gpa over 24 credits before Yoon...not anymore & I gave a good effort; non-finance people will be overwhelmed.

The truth about Yoon: he is extremely knowledgeable and definitely knows his stuff, is available in office hours if you need help and is a nice enough guy. Having a finance background, this was still an extremely tough class. Definitely not a "core" type class, by far the toughest class I've had and being more than half way done with the MBA.

This professor is an incomprehensible, useless, boring, unintelligible waste of your time and money. The book is not reflective of any materials in class. There is no practical teaching that can be applied to the current business world. He does not teach how to use a computer he just makes you do long hand formulas that he does not explain.

Fire this teacher now. He is confusing, can not explain simple subjects, doesn't speak english and is ignorant of any practial applications of finance. He spends most of the class explaining the algebra used to create known formulas. He does not explain concepts at all. All formulas including annuity must be done in long hand for exams.

International Finance Class, and he was useless and a horrible teacher. I've never met a teacher with such arrogance and referred to the students in the class room as "the average people." He should be out of teaching and it's an embarrassment that he is still at the business school.

One of the most self-absorbed and inconsiderate people I've ever had to work with. He creates confusion from subjects that should be relatively straight forward and then gets frustrated when you do not understand. He has mocked and insulted students for asking questions. He is a poor reflection of the business school.

Forget It. I have my SEC Licenses (Series 7, 55, 63, 66) and he even confused me; Did I mention I'm a Finance Major and Financial Professional? Does not comprehend the phrase, "Prior engagements". His exams are verbatim his handouts. STUDY THEM/COPY THEM. The tests are still impossible but if you do not remember the handouts, good luck passing.

Comment:
Yoon loves the free market, but has done everything possible to avoid working in it. Analysis are two dimensional and (worse) illogical. If students were allowed to vote Yoon's free market principals he and his impossible to understand cohort would be out of a job.
