From CSUSM. He's a good teacher. The Cal 2 is hard and he does his best to make people understand. He grades your Cal technique (not Algebra), so just show him that you understand the concept and he'll give you full credit for that. He doesn't take attendance, but you MUST go to the class and do homework in order to pass the class.

Professor Haddad has made Calculus 2 my favorite math class to date. He is very enthusiastic about the material, and while he does push you, he is fair in his grading and expectations. (I see other people saying he is too hard, I just believe the material he teaches is difficult for many people but I only have good things to say about the Professor

Best teacher, funny, polite, patient;Make us see math and physics.I recommend him; I will take his classes whenever he is teaching. Make class fun and math a very interested subject. Has flexible office hours;goes above and beyond to make sure that the student gets the subject. I am praying that one day; I will be an excellent math teacher like him.

I learned more by reading the book than taking the course with this professor. Does not care if the entire class is failing, but blames it on the students. I am firm believer in hard work, but this professor expects you to learn calculus concepts as if you are a genius. He will offer nothing as a professor.

If you want an easy A, this professor is not for you. If you want to be challenged and pushed to excel, you're in the right place. He'll give you a deeper understanding than you ever thought possible and teach you material that's advanced even 3,4,5 courses down the road. You'll be well prepared for anything.

This was my first class with this prof and he really sucked. He teaches (more like preaches) like he's talking to students who already hold PHD's. He has such high standards for his class that it's ridiculous. We understand that we are math majors but being good at math doesn't make you a good teacher. Just take Haddad and you'll understand.

He is an all around great instructor, nice, funny, informative, does handstands on rare occasions to get his point across. He is not a hard prof. this was just a really tough course.

Best math teacher ever. He's extremely clear, very helpful, and always available. His tests are hard, but you'll never forget what he teaches you. Highly recommend him, especially if you're going into higher level math. On a side note, he has a great personality and sense of humor.

Avoid taking him. He seems easy until you take one of his exams or quizes. He ALWAYS enjoys challenging/throwing off his students on his tests.

Best Math Professor I have ever had. Always avaliable outside of class. Approachable. Come prepared with quality questions, participate in class. Do the work. Many complain about the difficulty, but do not do homework. Is aspiring actor...serious.

He's an interesting guy, but probably a better teacher for Math majors. If you don't enjoy math enough to do the work with very little support from him, try avoiding him (and Rush) if you can.

Comment:
Dr. Haddad is a brilliant mind in the field of mathematics that doesn't seem to understand that teaching involves helping others achieve in a field. Instead, he seems to work on a sink or swim approach: if a class doesn't learn, it's their fault.
