Dr. Gove is one of best Professors on campus. If you don't your TAREA, you will fail your quizzes and tests. Be careful, he is very tricky. When he tells you that he wont test you on something, more than likely what he told you was false. So Do the homework and have fun learning!

He's the best at what he does. He has extensive knowledge of the subject and shows various examples that are on his quizzes, also knows how to put people in their place. If you didn't pass pre-pre calculus then don't show up and go back to elementary math. Only true mathematics can attend his lectures. Best teacher of 2016-forever.

Clear your schedule. If you're not prepared to eat, sleep, and breathe mathematics you're going to have a really rough time. Exams are very difficult. Quizzes aren't much easier. Tips: Remember everything . Be prepared to see lots of logs and trig functions (just for the fun of it). Pay attention to notation. Partial credit? Not likely!

He tends to get lost in his teachings. You have to basically teach yourself calculus without the professors help in order to pass this class.

I took CALC 201 before with another professor and didn't pass so I took it again with Gove. To be completely honest it was easy but only because I had take it before. His lectures are boring and he doesn't know how to explain things clearly. He does curve though and replaces homework with quizzes.

He is a horrible teacher. His lectures are extremely dry and he does not think as he does the math in class; it's more like he is blindly saying what he has rehearsed earlier. His tests are only hard because you do not really know what to expect on them. He is a really nice man but a horrible teacher and grader.

Go to class and do the homework. At the end of the course he will replace extra credit homework grades with low quiz grades, which really helps. Activities are pretty challenging but he is very lenient on when you turn them in. He really expects you to remember the basics from calc 1 and 2.

If you are above CALC 2 and know your basics, you will pass his class by youtube videos and listening to a few lectures of his(he goes over problems from the book)Know how to solve the book's problems inside and out . Be sure to go to class to turn in HW. His curve is pretty extreme. So 85% of the class passed. He is a really smart and witty guy.

Other than just being boring. He struggles explaining things correctly, and asking him for help is no use you'll be as clueless as before. His exams, quizzes, and labs are a bit hard. The textbook is much more helpful than he is.

This is kind of a difficult class but with this professor, it's ten times worse. He doesn't explain anything and never assigns any homework. when the class average on exams was in the 50% range, there's a problem. Avoid this professor. His helpfullness doesn't even help and if you're in need of sleep, he's the guy LOL. I've passed out several tines

Pleeeaaasse...do not make the mistake I did and take this class. ESPECIALLY if you are not a math person. If you think that 101 is supposed to be easy, think again...certainly with this teacher. He is a downright jerk, and he expects people to follow his confusing lectures. Everyone scored less than 50% on his midterm.

Seems to have no idea what he's doing, forgets to bring materials to class. Rarely gives partial credit, and doesn't want work to look "like scratch paper," which makes you rewrite all the labs unless you do the work on another paper. If you're a math person, it's just pathetic. If you're not, you'll be very confused.

He makes tons of mistakes in his lectures and things can get pretty confusing. His labs are a joke and have very little to do with the actual class material. If you have the choice, don't take his class.

The worst teacher I've ever had. He is very smart but doesn't know how to relate his knowledge to others. Says "um" a lot and "Maybe a better way to explain it is" and "but that's the hard way." Never finishes a thought. I
