He is a nice guy but he doesn't understand how to teach. Just do the homework and take the tests he gives enough extra credit to save your grade.

The class was 2 hours long and he only lectured for less than half that time on some days. He didn't explain concepts well. He expected us to already know it. Had creepy old man vibes. When I asked for help all he told me was that the international students already know this stuff. Um, that's not something you say to a struggling student! Awful!!!!

An hour and 15 min class is only 30 mins of lecture. His accent makes things difficult to understand and only reads the notes rather than explaining them. If you ask a question, it won't be directly answered. We convinced him to let us have open note and partner tests so your grade will be fine but you'll learn absolutely nothing.

I'm not learning a single thing in this class, as I am having to teach myself everything. He does not explain anything well and skips over a lot of information. He is hard to understand and expects us to know things we don't. Exams and homework are nothing alike. I hope I actually pass this class but I'm losing hope. Definitely do not recommend.

The only reason I even went to the lectures was that I was productive and got lots of homework done; I would still leave early. He is very soft spoken and is very hard to hear at times. Sometimes during the lecture he would just get up and leave without a word. He does give a lot of extra credit and one of them can get you up to 4%.

Professor Grossman is a good guy. He has a strong accent and soft voice. With the content being calculus the class is extremely tough, however, Grossman gives an unheard of amount of extra credit points. Lots of difficult homework for little reward and VERY tough exams but get the homework and extra credit points and you will have a good grade.

Worst teacher I have ever had. Expect to use the math assistance center A LOT. He doesn't explain the lectures very well and is hard to understand. Test are hard because you don't learn anything in his lectures, you are basically teaching yourself the material. Homework is online. Sweetest man ever but definitely shouldn't be teaching.

Easily the worst math teacher/professor I have ever had. He doesn't know what he is doing, ever, and can barely solve the homework that he assigns. Although he doesn't have a single clue about calculus, he is a really nice guy and you're basically guaranteed an A if you do the homework and the extra credit assignment at the end.

He was a terrible teacher, very difficult to understand. The SI Sessions saved my grade. He is however, one of the most nicest guys. He cares about his students and education, he just doesn't do good at his job.

Do NOT take this class if you have never taken Calc in high school prior! You will have no idea what is going on and his lectures will not explain anything. However, I strongly recommend taking this if you've already taken calc. There are only 2 exams plus the final, all of which are heavily curved, plus a super easy extra credit assignment.

He is awful. I took pre-calc in high school so I wasn't too worried about this class. He says attendance isn't mandatory but if you want to leave he interrogates you. I have to teach myself everything.. The SI is very useful and she is the only reason I did decent on the exams. Save yourself the frustration and don't take his class.

Clearly Central didn't conduct an interview when they hired this clown because he can't be understood when talking one-on-one much less in front of a class. Lost the small amount of respect I had for this imbecile when he showed up on exam day with not enough exams for everyone. If you leave lecture early he will literally chase you down the hall.

If you have taken calc before then I would honestly recommend him because though he is not the best when it comes to explaining things or helping students. He only gives 3 exams, which are pretty easy to pass if you know the material. If you have never taken the class be prepared to teach yourself the information. You grade is what you put into it.

Grossman is a clown. He rarely explains what he is doing and often just copies onto the board the example that is given by the generic powerpoint provided by the book. The good part is that as long as you do the homework you will understand the class and do good on the exams. Attendance isn't required and I don't go myself. He gets off topic easily

Grossman was ridiculous. First of all, attendance is not mandatory but he mentioned some "under the table extra credit" if you show up enough. Second of all, you can't understand what hes talking about. He flies through a powerpoints and usually tells us to read whats up there. The homework doesn't go along with whats on the exams. AVOID HIM!!

Once he chased me into the hall because I decided to leave his lecture. Not a good teacher will often stand facing the board waving his arms around expecting you to know what is going on in his head. Mumbles a lot and seems very socially awkward. Do not take any class with him.

absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt useless. there are no words to adequately describe this guy's sheer incompetence at any sort of instruction. can't enunciate clearly enough to speak to someone 10 feet away, treats students with 0 respect, overall worst human being i have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. i don't know how he keeps a job
