Professor Mehler is a good professor, unfortunately, the online setting does not work for him. The Canvas page was extremely unorganized and it was hard to know what was going on. The homework was only available through an access code as well. If you are on campus, I would recommend, if not, then no.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT take this instructor. He gives you 3 quizzes a week and the questions do not make any sense at all. Just about everyone in my class is failing because of his ridiculous quizzes. He's seriously the absolute WORST instructor I have EVER had at Ferris and the community college I went to before. Also very unorganized!!

Professor Mehler is quite the character. Has a lot of credibility in his field, however most of his lectures rarely ever pertained to the topic at hand but he was very interesting to listen to. Hilarious, but if you don't like cursing, you might not want to take him as he swears a lot. Don't be on your phone in class either, he will call you out.

I had to drop his class. He lectured on things covered in a book online and his tests were literally the hardest tests Ive ever taken. Extremely unprofessional, cusses in class whenever he gets angry and screamed at a student who was on their phone.

He gives four tests, and once you're done with a unit, you won't have to look at it ever again, not even for the final. He makes his own textbook so you won't have to buy one. There is also a weekly journal assignment, and you can write whatever you want in it. Class isn't mandatory, just make sure you read the units and you'll pass.

This guy's lectures are crazy and sometimes not even pertaining to class but you always get something out of them. He doesn't make you go to class at all, or read but there are tests at midterm or finals

He is funny yeah he runs his class like a show called sympathy for the devil. You are only graded on 4 tests so if you're good at tests then you'll do fine. If not wouldn't recommend his lectures tend to never make sense he as a person never makes sense. Hes the most confusing person I've ever met and doesn't put grades in EVER

He's pretty much crazy and entertaining during class but assigns SO MUCH reading for tests. I had 30+ pages from his reading content. He babbles about nonsense in class and doesn't care if you show up. He has 15 or so journals assigned that are your own opinion. But the only grades are 4 exams, and that's all based on the reading.. way too much

Sympathy for the Devil was a great performance and Dr. Mehler really knows how to make his class interesting. I reccommend NOT listening to the song Sympathy for the Devil for at least 3 months prior to taking his class, for he plays it every day. He acts as the characters throughout history and made it really entertaining.

This was a tough class to take. It wasn't really because the material was difficult, but because the way it's presented is a bit confusing. I enjoyed that the class was interesting, because Professor Mehler presented things in a different perspective for every lecture, but I would have liked a little more structure to what I was learning.

The class is easy, Yes you have to do think outside the box, but I mean seriously its simple A. You get a mid term and a final, 2 papers and thats it. Along with some journals you need 12 to "pass" the class. Thats it. Your practice/ study guide is the same as the tests.

Great, very smart professor. Keeps class interesting, but you have to do a lot of the "learning" on your own outside of class. He directs this learning well and I have learned more in this class than many others because of this.

This class helped reaffirm that there are multiple ways to approach learning styles, and course objectives. This class truly supplemented my college career. The way that Dr. Mehler presents information is so off-the-wall that you HAVE to think. I think every person should have to take this class. It's amazing. Tests are easy. Easy A if you think.

His class was confusing and I did not much care for the teaching style, but he is a great professor and truly cares. If you like out of the box teaching styles you will like him. His classes are pretty easy and he gives you changes for extra credit.

Such a great professor and a really intelligent and interesting person. All class periods are spent listening to lecture and you are required to turn in one journal a week of 250 words. No other homework is given and textbooks are not required. I would definitely recommend taking a class with Dr. Mehler... I know I will again!
