She was very good at the beginning when she explained easier concepts like A star algorithm and BFS and DFS but when it came to teaching probability and bayesian networks, she is really really bad, and her notes are not that great. She does read directly from her notes, just less noticeable when concepts are easy. Good projects and decent tests.

She knows the subject but can't teach well. If you really want to understand the subject get ready to read a lot. Some assignments available online. Not so easy tests.

Dr. Xiao is one of the best teachers I had in any course. She is able to explain extremely difficult concepts, and I could actually understand (not many teachers can do that). She was available outside of class when needed.

Taught A* Algorithm well. All else was highly ambiguous. The book (Norvig) wasn't easy to comprehend, to put it mildly. The assignments' solutions can be found online. She tries to be fair in grading, but with solutions available online, there are 2 ways to get good grades: hard work (might get good grades), google search (will get good grades).

Classes were OK and informative. Professor's delivery was fine. However, students with less knowledge about programming and theory might find the classes difficult.

She knows what she is talking about but cannot explain it to students. She will ask questions in class and then make a fool out of anyone whose answer is not 100% correct. The projects are extremely difficult. When I took the class it started with about 1
