online which made the class a lot easier. Every sunday, we had an essay due, the essay prompts weren't hard. The prompts were based on what we learned in class. We do quizzes and couple tests. Extra at the end of semester. But he sure takes his time putting the final exam in canvas.

Great professor. Class is definitely an easy A or B. One quiz a week, unlimited attempts, and one application question each week. Grading is lenient, him and his TA want you to have a good grade. The tests are more of a time crunch with pretty much 1 question per minute but he opens the exams for the whole weekend, easy to fit into a busy schedule.

my class was converted to online which made the class a lot easier. Every sunday, we had an essay due, the essay prompts weren't hard. The prompts were based on what we learned in class. Coming to class is mandatory because he uses it for extra credit at the end of the semester. Overall great teacher, like you won't have to stress out aboutHisCLASS

Dr. Walsh's International Politics course is a pretty easy, introductory course. It will not require a lot of work each week. Make sure to study a little before the test and you will do all right. If you are unfamiliar with the material beforehand, take the time to delve into the material - it is interesting content!

James Walsh is a funny and great professor. We only met once a week since POLS1150 for him is a hybrid course (half online/half in person). You only get graded for the exams, CA assignments, and quizzes but if you pay attention to the book, you can easily get good grades for it. Professor Walsh also randomly give out extra credit.

Best professor I have had to date. Hilarious. You have 5 tests and that makes up like 75% of your grade or something. Makes the content interesting. I did not take very many notes, but got an A. Dr. Walsh has a gift of making the content naturally retainable.

Dr. Walsh is an Amazing professor. His lectures are easy to understand and he makes it fun to learn. Although attendance is not required still show up, he gives a crazy amount of extra credit!!! TO do well on the test just go over materials and try to make it to the test reviews.

Walsh was a good professor. It was difficult to do well on the Contemporary Application questions. Each week, over the half of the class time was spent discussing how to answer the question, and yet students still struggled. He offered enough extra credit to equate to almost half a letter grade, though. Would probably take him again.

I can honestly say that I genuinely look forward to this class every week!! Walsh makes the info interesting, and helps you form your answer for the short answer assignment due weekly, and the short quizzes are all on quizlet. The exams are easy peasy, esp if you go to the review. I attribute my 99.5 in the class to his great teaching! He's v cool!

Honestly What a man. His class is not that bad just read and take the quizzes. He gives you the answers to the CA question in class and if your not sure about your answer you can email him and he will basically give you the answer. Go to class tbh we got ten points one day just for coming. Test aren't bad. Honestly best professor Ive had so far.

He's funny. His lectures are optional but you should go to hear what he has to say about the weekly assignment. There isn't too much work. He had extra credit, unlimited retake questions, short pass/fail responses every week, and six tests. Tests were MC and mostly easy-moderate. I'd take him again. I went to his office hours and he was nice.

As someone who hates international politics, Professor Walsh is a wonderful teacher. I took this course as a hybrid but I looked forward to his class every week. My course had two homework assignments, a quiz and short essay response. Both very easy. His exams are very easy if you come to class and watch the online videos.

Prof. Walsh was pretty relaxed. The class I had was a hybrid so the lectures and homework were online, and the class was pretty worthless. Overall, it was an interesting and easy class if you need some general elective classes.

Prof Walsh is awesome, super funny guy and knows his stuff. There's online quizzes and short essay questions every week, but the essay questions are graded lightly and you can retake the quizzes till you get a 100. Tests can be tough but if you study the book and his online resources you'll be fine. I barely went to this class and made an A.

Professor Walsh doesn't take attendance but your grade will surely show it. If you miss an online test or contemporary application your grade takes a big hit make sure you pay attention to those. Don't bother with his office hours or emailing him; his syllabus makes it clear that he pretty much doesn't like human contact.

The tests are all multiple choice but can be a little tricky. You will have a weekly assignment to turn it but you go over it in the class before each one is due. Also have weekly quizzes that are online and multiple choice. Best study guides for the tests are the online quizzes! Also he is a real character and a stand up comedian.

This being my first online class, it went very well. From what I could pull from emails Professor Walsh seems like a very humble guy. Four exams, five papers, and a final exam. Tests are sometimes tricky, literally 95% will come from the book SO READ! I did not use the power-points, but copied them just to be safe. Overall great online class.

Comment:
For a 1000 level class he sure does assign some pretty loaded homework questions-free response questions that he expects sources and multiple paragraphs and not easy to answer. Tests are too difficult with low class averages. No wonder this class never fills. Felt more like a 3000 level class the way its taught- take something else for an elective
