Comment:
I was seriously sick during the semester that I took Prof. Ringer's class, and I was worried that I would not be able to make up such a heavy class such as Shakespeare when I missed almost a full month of classes. He was so understanding and worked with me to create a new schedule of deadlines to keep me in school. Not all professors are like him.

Really great professor who brings excitement to a subject that I had little interest in studying. He was so excited about Greek Drama that he actually piqued my interest.

Comment:
Prof. Ringer is intensely intelligent, but is very gifted at presenting complicated material in a very accessible way. Three hour classes fly by and he is very generous with the "breaksie-poos." Mid-term and final was more about presenting interesting ideas than about regurgitating his own thoughts. I definitely recommend taking his courses.

I have him for Shakespeare now...this man is crazy smart. I can't even begin to describe his intelligence. He's open to class discussions and students opinions, he also makes a dry topic like Shakespeare exciting. Best academic class I have taken at Marymount.

He is so cool that he is practically hot. His shirt should be tucked in and the schlitz should be closed.

Comment:
Some people have posted that he's full of himself or that he's pompous, but the man can recite paragraphs of Shakespeare flawlessly, not to mention passages of Ancient Greek. He knows his stuff and he's wonderful at teaching it. If you knew as much as he did, you'd have reason to get on a high horse, too. Basically, the man is a genius.

He is so enthusiastic about Shakespeare, and utterly brilliant! As an actor, he adds extra excitement to the readings whenever he quotes the readings, making class time fly by. He's a genius. The best at Marymount, (and NYU is lucky to have him too!)

I've taken Shakespeare classes at the graduate and undergraduate level, and situating Ringer in that context makes clear his pedagogical ability and extensive knowledge of the canon. He is bright, enthusiastic and redoubled my interest in ol' Shaky. I would highly recommend taking a class with him.

Holds grudges. Doesn't make sense when he talks sometimes and can be full of himself. Funny but at the same time pompous. The class could be better if he got off his high horse.

Sometimes nice but I HATE he uses psychological terms and clearly doesn't know the meaning and ends up not making sense. He also seems bath challenged.
