A lot of people think he is too harsh. I find that to be a great representation of the very soft and sheltered type of student. Lade is a good guy, he is all business, he wants you to learn, and he gets on you to make sure the work is done. His class is more similar to the working world than most - dont be late and get your work done. Simple.

Professor Lade comes across as a more aggressive prof, but honestly he's very good. He reminds me of a football coach that expects a lot from you and pushes you to get there. It's an extremely hard class, but he does a great job teaching it. I find he makes some funny jokes although I'm never sure if he's actually joking or not.

For sure the best professor I've had in my entire university career. He is definitely a hardass but the real world is difficult and he prepares you very well for it. Only criticism is that he is extremely intimidating to approach with questions. Go to class, try to do readings and at least attempt questions before class and you will do fine.

By far the best prof at Laurier. He is really hard but drills everything in your head. Makes sure you are prepared for the real world. He yells at you and goes over class time, but its with his best intentions as he makes sure that he has covered everything. Definitely would recommend him to students that actually new this class for profess. exams!

Probably one of the best profs you will ever have in University. He comes off as arrogant but the comments saying that he doesn't care about his students is genuinely untrue. He takes his time to make sure you understand the content but you have to be willing to do the work. The course is hard but he tells you exactly what he wants. Great mentor.

many of these comments say that he keeps the class going well after the class should be finished. They say this as if it is a bad thing. He doesn't have to keep the class late, he does so because he wants to get through all the material so students are most prepared. He knows tax better than anyone i've met. Very intimidating in class. He will call you out if you show up unprepared. Very strict on participation, and has a very specific marking key. He teaches the material well, but his personality is a huge downfall.

Lectures go overboard more often than not. He's a tough marker but warns you multiple times so you know what you're getting into. He knows his tax so try to listen. Fail percentage (below 60%) was 18 out of 105 students.

Very knowledgeable tax prof. Peter Lade is tsundere-- tough marker and teacher, but cares about his students' learning. He sets up his solutions to prepare you for professional exams. Follow his format!! Exam questions are like in-class problems-- no surprises. He has cursive writing, I had the occasional trouble reading a wordphrase.

Had 3hr night class with him.. Skips the 15min break in middle each class, ends late, and is still usually behind on material. Rushes important stuff, and still marks unbelievably hard... Take as a last resort, cause you're gonna get a really bad mark with this guy

Extremely passionate about teaching the course content. He can be a little bit intimidating, but he really does want to help students, and he will if you talk to him. Did a ton of examples during lectures, and gave better organized solutions than the textbook - made the problems on the exams easier to do.

Great Professor! Lectures are well organized with great examples. He knows very thoroughly about all the material. Encourages students to try hard and to do their best. He is very helpful with questions, and if you follow the lecture and do some readings ahead, it's definitely possible to do well! He is actually a really nice teacher!

Don't make the same mistake I did and let the positive reviews convince you that this is the person you want to have for tax. He has absolutely no interest in helping his students. I tried to meet with him 2 weeks before the final exam and his response was that his office hours were over. Seriously? Take tax from someone else, anyone else.
