Aced his class. But if I had the choice to take it again, I would not take it with him. I learned a lot about the course material but none of it was from him. He takes 10 weeks to discuss Relational Calculus/Algebra and intro to SQL, and gives the last 5 weeks to work on a project (which has to be industry professional or he fails you). Hard pass

I have mixed feelings about Dr. Wang. His lectures are borderline useless and you will learn almost nothing directly from him or his lectures. However, nobody has ever become a worse programmer because of him. Taking a class with Wang is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it will be VERY difficult. But on the other, you will definitely learn.

Lectures are useless, he knows his stuff(maybe) but does not know how to teach properly. He requires attendance so you sit there fer 1-3hours trying to do the assignments by yourself. I want to be generous as hes genuinely a nice dude but I do not recommend this class but hes the only one qualified to teach some classes at CSUB. Hard curve.

Dr wang recently got an award for being one of the best profs at csub. Look it up. he deserves it 100%. This guy my homie. I learned so much about databases and the job market. Class is impacted because he is so good everyone picks him over everyone else

What I like: He's willing to help Genuinely Cares about students Not a bad grader With that said, he is a good instructor, but he doesn't hand you your grade. He is always there for you but you have to do your part too

I transferred from UC Irvine because of tuition costs. I thought I was going to get garbage profs and I was right... until I got this professor. This guy is amazing. Tops UC Computer Science professor for sure. At least the ones I had. They weren't horrible, but dang.. WANG is AMAZIN

I didnt finish the final project and he was kind enough to give me an Incomplete to finish it. I had the break to finish it before the semester started and I presented it to him! No penalty! I got an A!!! I recommend this guy. He understand that everyone has busy lives and works with you to pass his class

Yes he is a little tough IN THE BEGINNING but dont let that discourage you. His class is ALWAYS waitlisted because of how good of a professor he is. I really think he just wants people to drop to end the wait list in the bginning but eventually settles down. Show up. He grades attendance. Read like he says or you will not get an A!
