Comment:
Very funny professor, he likes to give his personal stories with what he is teaching and that makes it more interesting! I took another class of his that was rather difficult so I thought he was a touch teacher altogether. After I took his Interpersonal Skills class, I saw a whole new side of him. He's funny, he cares, and you learn a lot. Love him

His class can be boring and if you don't participate it will hurt your grade. Other than that, just do your work and you'll be fine. There is a weekly quiz but its super easy.

This is a 1 unit class. You have to attend in order to pass because your grade is based on the quizzes and workbook you have to complete. Ishida made my class laugh by saying the most random things. His lectures were very interesting and made you think. Overall its a great class, and I would recommend him for 291.

Dr. Ishida is amazing. He is very caring and passionate. He wants you to succeed and is hilarious. Dr. Ishida's class consisted of a workbook and quizzette each class period. Participation matters so open up, talk, be funny and be ready to look at yourself and grow.

Comment:
While he is clearly passionate about what he teaches, his attitude towards students tends to be rude and condescending. He calls people out for not speaking in class, returns papers late, and tells you how you should have done your assignments after you've already submitted them. Be prepared to do readings before every class meeting.

Attendance is mandatory if you want to know what is going on in the class. Does not force you to speak, but it is part of your grade. Assignments are from a workbook. Workbook is super easy and there is no wrong answer

He makes you show up to his VERY droning, irrelevant lectures full of his oddly worded personal oppinions rather than relevant facts, gives easy quizes, then tests you with horribly worded 140 questions on the final. He is irresponsible, confusing, boring, and condescending. I HAD an A+, but bombed the final and his response was "were you high"?

Dr. Ishida is hilarious, I think he should have a stand up comedy routine. He teaches on the basis of evolutionary psychology so I feel that I was at a bit of an advantage having taken his 377 class prior to 315. He is fair and his lectures are engaging. Takes a long time to return assignments but I know he has a heavy work load and a life.

Anyone who says Ken isn't a good teacher is seriously delusional. Not only is he passionate about what he teaches, he pushes you to do better in this field. And do anyone that says his quizzette's are too difficult, read the book and they won't be so difficult. They were extremely straightforward. If you do your part by attempting to learn then he will do his by teaching you. I strongly recommend him as a professor. He isn't afraid to adapt his life to lecture to better understand either.

As a teacher Ken is like a good head of lettuce--peel back the rich outer layers, and you just get more cruncy, flavorful layers the further you go. Great human being too.

His teaching style tries to get away from purveying a series of facts for you to memorize. Instead, he counts on your ability to do the reading and come to class ready to discuss its implications. This leads to a daily testing of your knowledge. If you've engaged in the discussion, when tests come around they are very easy! His dress is oddly hot!

Assigns too much work and can't return it in a timely fashion. Asks for assignments and teaches how to do them once they've been corrected.
