Dr. R is very sweet. She does pre-recorded lectures and we only meet a total of four times on zoom. There were two essays we had to write and she your writing matters. I would recommend going to the writing center. I could've gotten an A if i did. I would take her again, she has a mom-type feel where you just want to give her a hug. lol.

Ill admit I was scared to take Professor Rodriguez given the reviews but she was amazing. We had 3 assignments, one paper, midterm, and final. She posted videos of lectures which were a little lengthy but she was always accessible and was happy to answer any questions. She always got back to me in a timely manner. Very sweet and caring professor.

Rodriquez is a really good professor in my opinion. She is caring and very passionate about her lectures. Shes a bit old fashioned because she dosent like technological devices in class, but other than that, shes a solid good choice. Just show up to class because her tests are based of her lectures and you should pass with an A or B.

This class was a joke. She is a nice, caring professor I will admit that but you NEVER know what is due for her class. She changed the syllabus 4 times and still didn't follow it. Also you won't know your grades as she never uploads anything. If you have already taken an upper division history class Historian's Craft will feel like a waste of time.

She is a very knowledgeable and wise lady. As long as you show up for every lecture you should be fine. I love her class. I find her to be very passionate about what she teaches. Don't be fooled by all the negative comments.

She lectures the entire time allotted. As long as you go to lecture, you can pass her class. She is EXTREMELY date specific, so make sure you put as much information as possible on her tests/quizzes, or she'll find any excuse to dock you points. Reading wasn't very important, you can pass her book quizzes with online summaries.

I love her! She's so animated & passionate about history & more specifically teaching history! She tries to get the class involved & tries to make it easy to understand. Show up to class & pay attention. Don't forget to ask questions & this class is a breeze. She does assign a ton of reading homework but it's really beneficial to your grade.

Horrible professor. She didn't make history fun or actually motivate students to learn. Wasted my quarter in that class. Do not recommend. You're going to have to basically read to learn yourself in order to know what she is talking about..

Worst professor I have had at CSUB. Lectures with her eyes closed, so good luck asking a question. Requires FAR too much for a 200-level class, and essays are near impossible to ace. I took this class my freshman year and wish I had used this sight to STAY AWAY. I still cringe at the thought of this class 3 years later. DO NOT TAKE RODRIQUEZ!!!!

She is a very good professor. I am only halfway in and everything she has taught has been very clear and concise. The main thing is not to get behind in the reading. If you get behind one day, it will take you forever to recover, because the material is a lot to know and cover in just ten weeks. If you are confused, she will definitely help you.

I want my ten weeks back. She cannot complete a lecture on time. She spent two weeks on one lecture! Five books for a ten week quarter. We did not even discuss one of them (too far behind in lecture), but it was on the final anyway. Gives harsh grades with very little commentary to justify them. Take someone else, save yourself ten wasted weeks

Her lecture outlines tell you exactly what to write in your essays and the study guide helps to prepare before the exam. You will need to do most of the reading for the in class discussions and also work a few points from the reading into your essays. If you need clarification on anything, just ask. She is always willing to help. Great professor.
