I am glad that I took this prof online instead of in person. Lectures are brutal and loves to call on people to workout problems. Will not move on until you get it (I guess that's a good thing??). He's super smart but had to use outside resources to keep up with lessons and study for exams. Only good thing: he never assigned homework.

Ranga Ramasesh is, without a doubt, THE WORST PROFESSOR I have ever had while attending Texas Christian University. His lectures are hard to understand due to a slight language barrier. One of the best Statistics professors at TCU. Really cares about his students, and making sure that EVERYONE in the class understands a concept before moving on. Can be annoying at times if you know what you are doing, but it says a lot about him. Grade made up by 3 easy tests, and 3 take home tests. Take him!!

Statistics with Professor Ramasesh might have been my least favorite class I have ever taken. He is not understanding NOR does he help you in the slightest bit. It is almost like he enjoys making fun of students for asking questions. He never made it clear what to study. The ONLY thing I learned from his class was what hair product not to use.

Worst Professor. There are 10 quizzes worth 50% of the grade, they happen every Tues and they are very difficult. For people who have 0 experience with Stats they will hurt your grade very much. He is not the best at explaining the material and will get mad if he asks a question that you don't know the answer

Worst teacher I've ever had. If he asks you a question and you don't know the answer, he doesn't help to explain the answer. Quizzes every Tuesday that are difficult and quizzes are 50% of the grade.

The lectures are extremely dull and drag on. He claims he wants active participation but most of the time he just insults the first person to offer a response. He has insanely roundabout logic and gets frustrated when people don't read his mind for whatever answer he's looking for. He grades on a hard curve so just keep your head down.

Professor Ramasesh was a mess. Taking his class was a drag and by attending his lectures, I never felt like I grasped any meaningful knowledge. He will call you out during class to answer questions that no one knows the answer to, to get someone else to talk. Does not teach the material well and will be disappointed by the poor scores on his tests.

Tough material, but find a study group and you'll get through. Difficult to understand what he is saying at times, but you'll figure it out. Take home tests and in class tests makes up final grade. He is a good guy and wants his students to pass. *Side note: it is hilarious when his cell phone goes off with the T-Mobile ring tone

Ramasesh isn't a bad guy. Yes he has an accent but he is willing to work with you. Only have 3 tests so be careful, no padding for grades. He gives out take home exams which help cushion your test grades. If you can do the take home, you can do the in-class. Follow along in class and read the ppts to stay current. Curves at the end on performance.

People say Van Jones is the worse teacher of the two for business stats...not true! Ramasesh is very unclear and its almost impossible to get outside help because he only teaches one section so no one else is taking or has taken him and the textbook isn't very helpful either. Take your chances with Jones.

I would have done better by dropping his class and taking with a different teacher. I had not taken Stats prior to this class and found things very difficult. Towards the end of the semester he made numerous mistakes in class while working out a problem that had to be pointed out by students who knew what was going on.

Professor Ramasesh is really a great teacher. People say there's a language barrier, but I understood everything he said just fine. He explains things well and for the most part you know what to expect on each test. Stats is just a little dreary in general, but he teaches it well. Best option for Stats at TCU.

Great guy, really cares about students. Class is extremely monotone, but you can work on other things if you understand the material. Test 3 is a little tricky and there are not many points so study hard for each test. Study the study guide before each test and the in class problems for the test.
