Comment:
Not a good prof at all. His lectures consisted of him just solving problems on the board while not clearly explaining how to solve it. Assigned online homework assignments which did not match content taught in class, leaving you scrambling to try and teach yourself. Does not post grades online.

Ernie is a fine teacher. He is best when you laugh at his jokes, they aren't that funny though. He is a very fast talker, so you kind of have to teach yourself. Ernest will quiz you after every class, so class is manditory. He drops 3 quizzes so you can miss 3 days without it being an issue for your grade. The exams are pretty easy.

All over the place, unorganized, and does not explain clearly what is going on. His problems go all over the board just writing it out not going in detail how stuff has been done. Does not use moodle so your grade is unknown.

Ernie is a great teacher, and very funny. If life happens to you, he'll give you the time you need to help you succeed. Take good notes in class and do your quizzes, if you have questions then ask.

Ernie goes quick through lectures, but if you keep up and take notes its fine. No homework, just quizzes which you can work with other students. He gives take-home exams, and you can also use that on the in-class exam. He's a straight forward professor, I would take him again.

Worst lectures ever! Extremely bland, uninformative and all over the place. He is not very willing to help, and likes to just refer students back to their notes. On the positive side, his tests are straight forward and homework is not mandatory but recommended.

Ernie is a great math teacher! His class is setup very well and he is open to any questions if you're not sure about something. His lectures are a bit long, but very informative. My advice is to take good notes and ask questions, and you should do fine!

The class I took with him was by far one of the worst ones ive taken. He is very hard to follow and goes off on a tanget sometimes. I have never struggled in math, so if you have ever taken a higher math class, this professor is not for you. almost too basic to understand. Definitely have to teach yourself in this class.

funny guy, easy grader, answers all of your questions, sometimes struggles with technology but he is old haha, if you take notes and pay attention in class his tests are a breeze, always gives you a week for the take home test and an extra page of notes for tests, take home test is very similar to the in-class test, definitely recommend to others!!

Ernie is one of the nicest and funniest professors I've had at NMC. His teaching can be confusing at times because he over-explains things, which is better than not explaining them enough. He's a good person and very smart. He makes stupid jokes, which makes him very charming. He's great. But you'll have a "quiz" everyday.

He's a through teacher but when it comes to math having a sturdy base to learn in is everything. East is a great teacher, always willing to stay a little late to help as long as it's not lunch time... He gives take home exams worth half of the exam total. Can't ask for a easier exam then that.

Compton is such a great happy person. I took College Algebra with him and I am awful at math, but it wasn't so bad. We get to have a page of notes and a take home part on the tests. The only downside is the tests are worth 90% of our grade and we have a quiz everyday that is 10%. On the quizzes we can work in a group though and he is very helpful.

He is a great teacher, but I did feel lost pretty often. The upside is the page of notes on exams and the first half of every exam is a take home portion, but still a very difficult class for me. Would recommend him in combination with a tutor or frequent math center visits.

He was hilarious. So exited about math. The last math class I took was 4 years prior and I did fine. Attend class because there is a quiz related to what you learn in class about once a week. You get a full page of notes front and back. Easy!

Good guy. Get's a little ahead of his audience, but that's just because of his enthusiasm for math. If you do the homework and study, you will learn, but there will be times when you will feel a little overwhelmed.
