Sonja was absolutely amazing. A rarity for sure. She is the most tender-hearted people I have ever had in any class starting from Kindergarten to college. She is genuine and is soft spoken. Easy to love and she LOVES all of her students. She is the definition of what love is. I recommend her to every person taking a psychology or sociology course.

Sonja is a great professor and really cares about her students. However, the tests are very hard because you don't go over much in class. It is mostly video watching and lecturing in class, which can be fun. You will do one experiment and write one long paper with 4-5 tests. No final exam.

She is a gentle easy-going person, and is very quirky. I loved her as a teacher. I will say that she plays a lot of videos to explain what she is talking about, some are humorous, others are more informational. Overall, if you are a visual learning, this class is for you.

This class is a multi-media class including videos, lectures, and movies. It is extremely interesting. She gave handouts with essential information over each Unit and test review sheets. Very helpful. Lovely, professional lady. Loved this class.

Sonja is an amazing and dedicated instructor who really loves the topic of psych. You have 5 tests and 1 project for the class and that is it, which can be good or bad... I didn't mind. She gets a little distracted during lectures due to her passion for the topic. And by distracted I mean she shows lengthy video.. not too bad! Overall, great class!

Sonja is awesome! I would recommend taking her for any of your classes! Really funny, lots of great insightful stories to share, and a very kind individual. The homework is very reasonable and the tests are easy if you know the stuff on the study guide she gives out. If you take Gender&Society, don't bother getting the textbook. Would recommend!

Sonja is one of the nicest and funniest professors! She is always so excited to teach and she shows a lot of funny videos. The class is a laid back and students have a chance to share. The tests are difficult because she doesn't lecture a lot and it's hard to know what to expect. She plays A LOT of videos in class and pay attention to them.

Sonja is so nice! She is such a great teacher, very knowledgeable and loves psychology! Answers any questions you have fast, with no problem. Lectures are her talking through a power point and showing videos. If you use the study guide she give you will do well on tests, but if you want to-read the book.

Sonja is a fantastic professor! I was most bothered by the students who didn't pay attention in her class, people seem to think this is a blow off class. I did the work and gained a lot from this class. It is so much easier if you pay attention and do the work. She is always there to help!

Professor Olshove has very clear expectations, and you'll always know what's on the test. Her classes are generally an easy A, yet you'll still learn something in class. She's super nice and very approachable, not to mention lenient with deadlines.

A very good teacher, there for you when you need help, willing to help form study groups and participate in them. Lectures were always cut short and never fully covered the material. Funny and passionate about psychology it shows. Class was always cut short, have extra time on your hands. I passed the class with a 3.0, study her lecture cards!

I chose Psych as my minor simply because I had Sonja for 101 and she made it amazing. Same goes for this course. She has so much passion for psychology and it really comes across in her personality and lectures. She wants everyone to succeed and is so helpful. You won't find a more sweeter professor!

I took her social psychology class and really enjoyed it. Tests aren't hard and you get to study by playing bingo and jeopardy. Shes nice, but kind of quite and meek. We had a big class and it was somewhat hard to hear her. But a good class, learned a lot!
