Learning sites were interesting and I learned a lot. The topics talked about in the class were my favorite, no other class compared. Different, but lectures and learning sites (readings and short quizzes) were very intersting

He really reeled me in with his lectures. His style is much different and it can come off as stressful but I always saw his class as a way to just sit back and relax and I would always usually learn something.

I have no idea what is going on in this class he does not even use D2L ! Do not take this class he is very rude and not accessible outside of class. He doesnt use his email but instead uses Skype.

The guy doesnt use D2L or email, makes everyones lives around him harder because he cant stay up to date with technology and use basic email and D2L. Its ironic because he teaches courses on communication and technology but cant even use the current day tools to communicate. But prepare to use his old website and old skype.

I wish I had better things to say, but Dr. Pearson's grading makes absolutely no sense. This is a class about the future of technology, not public speaking. Never gave clear guidelines for grading, and does not answer emails. Have not known my grade in the class the entire semester, and moving online did not help that problem.

Not a good professor. Never checks his email so if you have a question don't expect to get it answered unless you ask during class. He doesn't use D2L and never posts grades. He uses webcourse which looks like it hasn't been updated since 1992. Often rude to students during class and will argue just about anything. Don't recommend.

Don't bother emailing him, he doesn't answer any of them. He never comes to class, so last minute, he assigns random things to do online. He doesn't use D2L, so you can't see your grade the whole semester. He uses webcourse, instead, but it never works. Makes fun of every student in the class and doesn't care how mean it is.

He is a pretty nice guy and very animated when teaching. However, he is not very organized or clear when it comes to assignments and the webcourse is hardly ever updated. Also, he likes to crack jokes and poke fun at students, which can be fine, but one of his jokes really rubbed me the wrong way and being in class became extremely uncomfortable.

Best professor I've had. He made every lass interesting, used real world examples and taught in a way that actually made it easy to understand and made me want to learn. I honestly looked forward to this class! Highly recommend! The only thing, if you need help or have a question stop in his office hours, he does not check his email.

Web media class was definitely a struggle for me. He's very hard on grading assignments and he only gives you one test for the whole semester and I found it to be very difficult. If your into the whole web design aspect then I would take it but if your looking just for an easy A then i wouldn't recommend it.

I took him in a seminar, History of Technology. It was the only com class I could get into, but it wasn't that bad. his lectures are more like discussions. He is a somewhat funny guy, and is really into the topic. There wasn't that much work. He made us buy a 105 year old magazine as our "textbook" but it was really interesting.

Awesome class! His tests are hard, but he will tell you what will be on the test. You will work for every grade, but if you want to learn, Pearson is a great teacher.

I took Mass Comm class online and it was awesome. It only required a journal entry every week (they can't be done all at once, has to be one every week) and "learning sites" which are just websites you have to read a blurb on and then answer 2-5 questions about what you read. There were 143 of them but you can complete them any time. Easy! Nice guy

He critics your speeches on whether you made eye contact with your audience, did you use big gestures, and your posture. Not the best public speaking teacher. and he gives test that are difficult because some questions could have more than one answer. dont expect him to teach you anything depend on the text book.

Keeps class entertaining, very approachable. Not too clear on how he grades or what things are worth. Takes attendance for every class, but never mention if it would be part of the final grade. Uses webcourse for most of the assignments, no textbook use. Got B+ because I forgot about a few online assignments, overall not bad.

Dr. Pearson if the funniest professor at the entire Uni...I took 2 of his classes, living in the digi age and history of technology and they were both interesting..He's constantly making fun of students and everyone else but it's actually tasteful and funny!!!

took his online mass communications class and it was horrible. half of the webcourses never worked and if you mispelled something or made a typo you automatically got it wrong. learned nothing and was a waste of time. also he NEVER answers his email!

Dr. Pearson is a really helpful professor! If I had a problem or didn't understand the material he went over in class, he would arrange a time for me to meet with him, even at his own inconvenience! His class is really hard and I made the mistake of skipping a few times. Overall, he is a really nice guy!
