He is a great prof who is always there to help his students and assigns a reasonable amount of work (chem117). The labs themselves were not difficult or lengthy, however, the lab reports were. The exams are fairly tough but if you can write down examples from HW you should be okay. DON'T TAKE AS A 7 WEEK COURSE, THE CLASS MOVES WAY TOO FAST!

Nice guy. He's really laid-back and doesn't make class stressful whatsoever. The labs are chill, and he gives you points if you tried your best. The exams made me sad, but you get to drop one!!! I would give you tips on how to study for them, but I never figured it out (ask him). He was really nice about me emailing him daily, so you can, too.

Very funny and great lecturer. Hes very picky when grading labs and at times makes you redo to get the correct data. His lectures are kinda boring but he keeps it funny by always cracking jokes. A amazing guy and professor. The exams are ok, you have to study to do good! Good luck

Very difficult exams, but great lecturer. Really enjoyed the labs. But seriously though, the exams were a pain. The averages were always low 70s.

Great teacher. His lectures are long but are easy to follow with. His lecture PowerPoints are on blackboard to go back to if you miss anything. Definitely give him a chance!

Avoid him if possible. Exams are calculated as 70% of your final grade and fill-in-the-blank. My particular class had an average of about 50%.. and no.. he does not curve the exams. Homework is assigned daily, and over 50 questions per section. Overall, very poor experience. Do not recommend.

He's a very great person and is very knowledgeable with chemistry. He does not make this class hard, the class just /is/ hard, and he does his best. He is generous with partial credit (even if you're off by 3 sigfigs lol) and will answer any question! Lots of homework (online and bookwork) so stay on top of it to stay on track in class.

this professor, very knowledgeable about the topic and very nice , but if you miss one lecture good luck trying to figure it out the concepts , test are very difficult , online assigments are very annoying and maybe broken a bit. , i would consider other teachers first for chem 117, but he is not that bad of a choice but be weary of this class.

Absolutely wonderful professor. Very respectful of everybody and teaches the concepts extremely well. He ensures everybody in the class understands the material before moving forward. The concepts in this class are difficult, but if you put in the work, you will do more than succeed. Exams are extremely fair & are not designed to trick you

He's an awesome professor! Offers help to his students and tries as much as he can to get everyone on the same page. He'll never leave you confused. He's pretty funny too! Wish he taught chem 111 :( I'd definitely take another class of his!

He was a great teacher! I took his Chem 117 class and would easily choose him for another chem class if I had the option. He tells jokes during lectures and gives good explanations . He has print out notes for you . GET THE BOOK!!

There is a lot to memorize but one of the best teachers out there. Lab is super easy but you have to show up for every one. Online quizzes have to be done to pass. Don't wait last minute to do them all. Must study to pass. Only complaint is that he doesn't teach chem. 111

Dr. D is friendly, funny, and helpful. The tests are difficult, but if you take good notes and do the homework, you'll pass. He also provides formulas and equations on the exams.

He is an awesome professor, not only is he great at teaching but he's super easy as well. Yes you have to study for the test but all of the tools he has available are the exact subjects on the tests-NO SURPRISES. The homework and labs are easy points, everyone gets 100% as long as you do them. Super nice and fun as well!

Doesn't really matter what teacher you have, either way you have to study a lot. He's very smart. Will explain what you need but he isn't as approachable as other teachers. His lectures can be monotone. Points for homework. 2 lab exams. 4 tests. And the final. Tests are hard: no multiple choice but gives extra credit and partial credit.

He will teach you everything you need to know. His tests are mostly fill in the blank which requires you to actually understand what's going on, but not super hard. Even the super easy concepts that that "one" person just cant seem to grasp, he will go over it as many times as he has to to make sure everyone understands. Awesome professor!

AMAZING!! He is the best professor, answers allany any questions and never makes you fell dumb. No matter your learning level his lectures are clear and to the point, he also puts them online. Labs are also really easy, he demonstrates the whole thing before hand. Just go and stay awake and you can pass with a good grade. He plays funny vids too
