Online class, very disorganized. Syllabus inaccurate and never corrected. Assignments posted online after due date. Never answers emails. No office hours. Required us to buy movie directed by him that we never watched. Also has us read things he has written. Can't say what he is usually like, but never take him online.

I had him for Representing Race last semester. He is self-absorbed and tends to go on non-related rants. But the class is ridiculously easy, I didn't read any of the books assigned either. Sometimes we only had class once out of three times a week. (The section number is wrong, I completely forgot).

He's actually pretty easy, however he makes you buy all these books that you dont even use (can get them from the library). I HONESTLY DID NOT LEARN ANYTHING FROM THIS CLASS!!!.He's almost never in class and he had a TA. Make sure you do all the work he gives and you will get an A.

Im going to tell you straight up. The guy is a very passionate man and good speaker but, this doesn't translate into to good teacher. He gives out these pop quizzes any time he can. We had a pop quiz after a test last class then we had another pop quiz the next class everybody's guard was down. One of the test we had 74 F's 1 A.

Dr. Asante is amazing. He is the most inspiring speaker and the most passionate professor I've ever had, and you will ever have if you take his class. Take him if you want to actually learn something in college. Best prof @ Temple. As far as the class.. don't buy the books they are worthless. Go to every class and take notes. Tests were hard.

this class was awful. He didn't post the notes online and he gave pop quizzes randomly to make sure people attended lecture. Tests were difficult in my opinion. I would not recommend this professor to anyone.

Dr. Molefi Kete Asante is the most superior human being at Temple University. They should paint a mural of him somewhere on campus. Ladies and gentleman, this man is a genius. We should all bow to Dr. Asante. I have seen this man perform miracles just by simply looking at people.

I really enjoyed his class.. His lectures are very interesting.. although he does tend to go off on tangents. You do need to at least read the first few pages of the chapters he assigns to do well on his tests.

First off, do not buy the books, you'll never need them to do well, and they are a waste of money. I think he just recommend the books to boost his own sales. Secondly, attendance is not crucial, just make sure you go to the class before the test, the TA tells you exactly what's on the exam.

He is a great professor. You don't even have to attend class all the time[although his lectures can be interesting]dont buy the books cuz you wont need it. Also go to class the day class before the exam and you are guaranteed an A.

Not a teacher I would personally recommend. Knows his information but doesn't present it in the best way. Tends to ramble, and is not clear about what to study for the test. However, he does know his information.

1st of all, some of u make ignorant comments b/c if u go 2 all the classes, he does not use google all the time, his TA does not teach all the time, and it's kinda rude to call him lazy b/c he's not. This class is not hard at all,and all u have to worry about is the exams. But I do agree that sumtimes its hard to know wat to study for the exams.

His lectures were awesome. The only complaint I have is that the tests are small multiple choice. I wasn't really sure what to study and what not to study.

Excellent lecture! You learn something new in every class. Unlike a lot of courses, the tests come from both lecture and books so you have to attend in order to do well. People who have a problem with the course tend to be lazy. Disregard their comments. I highly recommend this course!

Has good intentions but not that good of a teacher. He's barely ever there, teachers assistant practically teaches class. Watch alot of movies, haven't learned that much. Plus he makes you but two of his own books, and we only used one, which is kinda sketchy.
