Overall, she was okay. But she never gave anyone a 100% and would expect a room full of freshmen to challenge their philosophical views in a language they don't know. She really just wanted you to agree with whatever she thought and would find significant symbolism in anything. But cool reading material and great class atmosphere.

Mistakes are a natural part of the learning process. She disagrees. There were many times in my class when someone would ask a question and say something wrong and she would laugh. She also cold calls people and doesn't agree with other people's analysis. The final is extremely hard as well.

Pop quizzes. Attendance policy that impacts your grade more than the hours of work you put in. You have to read for every class because she randomly chooses people to answer questions. Honestly dont take her class.

If you hate literature (like I do) this course with Madame Gray is very rough. I was in the Honors section of this class. The level of analysis and memorization she expects was way beyond me and for this reason, the midterm was crazy hard. She is a nice person but I found her kind of annoying. I hated the class but your grade will turn out fine.

Madame Gray was a great help throughout the entire semester. She always made herself available if you needed some help outside of class so as to better understand the content that you were going through. She does give you some difficult assignments, but after you feel very accomplished and much better about your french knowledge. Greatly recommend

Professor Gray is great. The class' content can be challenging but she is a very reasonable grader. She is also just a lot of fun--We act out plays in class, she gives us candy, etc. If you put the work into this class, you will generally get good results back. I would definitely take another class with Prof. Gray.

There is so much work to do with this class, but she's a pretty easy grader if you do a decent job. She's so nice and tries to make sure everyone is clear on the material. One of the best French teachers I've ever had!

I took a French Literature honors class with her and dropped it - after writing an analysis of a quote, she typed people's responses(she knew who wrote what, class did not) on the overhead. She called on me to read mine, and further went on to criticize it in front of the class. I have never been more angered at a professor in my life.

There is absolutely no way to know what she is expecting from you on her exams, which are nearly entirely blue-book. Even after attending every class, and rereading the books, I got a C- on the final after having an A- average in the class.

With the exception of an accent which renders "je" into "jer", and similar pronunciations, a fantastic professor.

She is very enthusiastic about the material--I really enjoyed her energy and dynamic personality. I thought she was stand offish at first but I went to office hours and discovered that she's actually very nice and genuine. We got up in class and enacted parts of a play. You'll know where you stand in class, there are no surprises.

She's made it so you have to attend class regularly, but she's not bad. She's definitely a nice person, but she has this funny way of saying "errr" when speaking French that will make you pray for death
