Such as nice professor. I forgot my essay once and he said I could turn it in next week. Tests are based off as study guides. Very sweet old man.

Lectures are boring & you don't get much out of them. For the exam he gives you a list of terms (ranging from 50-100terms) and you have to memorize them. I actually used the book for the definitions to make flash cards. Honestly the class is pretty easy it's just a LOT of memorizing for the exam. He grades extremely easily for the paper & essay Qs

Such a sweet guy! Easy class too! I didn't show up most of the time and still have an A. Although the lectures were boring, it was so easy.

He is a really nice and genuine man, however, his lectures are very boring and he just reads from the slides. He isn't very clear on his grading criteria for essays and doesn't use Titanium whatsoever. You don't really need to go to class but you have to memorize a lot of study guide terms for the tests. Tests are all written, no multiple choice.

He's a really chill professor if you're not a history major. If you're taking the class to kick a GE out of the way, take him. I never usually went to class except during exams and got 100% because I read the textbook and memorised the vocabs from the study guide he gives. Grade based on 3 exams and 2 papers only. Attendance isn't graded.

Amazing professor. Gives you about 70-80 keywords two weeks before every mid-term and all the questions are from it. Attendance isn't mandatory and you actually don't need to pay attention in his lectures. Just go thru the study guide the weekend before.

His is such a sweet man. I would take him for every history class if I could. His grading criteria is very clear. You need to read the book in order to do well on his tests. He gives study guides a week before exam. He also only lectures for about an hour and then lets class out early.

Super easy A but he is incredibly boring. He does take attendance though by making us write our initial next to our name at the end of class so the choice is yours. All vocab defs are on quizlet just study that and youll pass with an A. I'm mad for the final that there were 90 vocab to study but only put 20 of them on the final so beware of that.

The first few weeks he tends to lecture without any PPT. When he adds PPTs, they don't really make sense. However, he gives you a list of vocabulary to study the week before the test and that is all you really need to pass. Class is entirely test based aside from 1 paper, but the tests are incredibly easy to pass.

This class is REALLY HARD. He speeds through the material and his powerpoint notes are super bare-bones so in order to pass the tests you really HAVE to read the textbook. I really didn't enjoy this class at all. The tests are all written--define 20 terms in a couple sentences and then write 4 essays (you pick from a list of 10).

Prof. Giacumakis may be old and his lectures may be long, but as long as you buy the book, study his study notes, you are sure to pass the class. Half my class didn't even show up and I'm sure they all passed. There's one paper, and 4 tests and that is all. Pretty simple, good for GE credit.

Pros: Study Guide(s) narrow the memorizing need; attendance is not required; plenty of time given to complete the exams. Cons: Time demanding, heavy workload for a 100-level course; lectures all over the map (literally). This class is all about Blue Book essay-writing. If your writing is up to speed then this may be for you. Others looks elsewhere.

Take this class! He's a great professor, he's super sweet and makes class interesting. 4 exams (including final), 1 autobiography (everyone got at least a B-), and the dept. required a "letter to a future employer" at the end of the semester. Exams were 20 identifications, 20 multi. choice and 3 essay questions OR 20 ident. and 4 essay questions.

Maybe its just this semester, but he seems more difficult. Study guides give roughly 70-80 terms to memorize, tests have 20 multiple choice, 20 identification (he gives term, you give 1-2 sentences what it is), and 3 one page essays. Come to lectures for EC (takes roll). lectures nothing to do with whats on test. GET TEXTBOOK.

Such an "EASY A" Class! He lectures for a few hours and you rarely need to take notes. 4 exams and 1 paper make up your grade in his class. He gives you a study guide of terms that is stuff you need to know on the test. Anyone can easily pass this class, highly recommend. Nice, organized, and knowledgeable professor as well.

Easy class. Just study the study guides and the tests are so simply. I think this was one of the easiest classes ever taken. Don't buy any of the books. Total waste of time. Don't take any notes there is no reason. Just take the study guide and define all of the terms and know the history to them. Maybe 4 hours of studing before each test.
