Since the class was online, it was a little different. She did lecture videos, the way she explains you can actually understand the content, she also gives examples to make it easier. Weekly homework on mindtap so the textbook is needed. One midterm and final, which was manageable. Discussion is not mandatory but helpful.

She really has a great lecture. If you attend every lecture and do all the homework questions in the textbook, you will absolutely get an A. The exams are almost the same as the questions at the end of each chapter. The discussions are also helpful preparing you for the exams. Highly recommended.

Her lectures are very engaging and she seems to care a lot about making sure her students understand what she is trying to explain. The exams were pretty much based off the lecture notes, so make sure you pay attention in class. Also, shes tough grader, but also curves pretty generously, so low exam scores wont hurt too much in the end.

Exams were just questions taken from the back of the chapter in the book, and the TAs are instructed to specifically go over them in discussion. So go to lecture, and go to a few discussions if you want more knowledge and you'll be fine. No homework, grading is basically all exams, so you have to put in this effort. Lectures are sometimes boring.

Her lectures are great, sometimes a little boring. Her midterms were basically just the questions from the end of the chapter from the textbook (obviously changing them up a bit). Just do those over and over again to pass the class. Great class, cool teacher and sense of humor.

This class was pretty difficult for me.. Her accent is pretty thick and her handwriting sucks so I barely understood what was going on. The book was probably the only thing that got me through the class. All her tests are free response.

I relied mainly on the textbook for this course. Not a big fan of her 30-30-40 grading for two midterms and one final. Went to class everyday and I spent my time trying to figure out what she was writing instead of trying to understand the content. She also write really fast. If you have a background in macro, you should be fine.

She was great. She writes the notes so no powerpoint but it's no big deal because everything is from the text book. Exams were from the back of the chapter questions. Her curve is really good. loved the lectures and her weird sense of humor.

She was a decent econ. instructor, didn't require homework, but strongly encouraged it. You must read the book to pass this class. Her midterms were okay, but definitely study for the final. All her tests are response questions.

A decent professor for an introductory class. The one downside that really bothered me was the fact that she wrote all of her notes on an overhead projector, rather than using PowerPoint presentations. Her writing is sometimes hard to read and understand. Both midterms were relatively easy, she curves fairly.

Meh. There were some parts of the class that were very interesting and exciting. But there were about two weeks of straight derivation of models. If you can get through that, you'll be fine. Lectures are interesting and tests are relatively fair.

Passionate about subject and clearly enjoys talking about it/teaching it. A little intimidating/cold in lecture, but very helpful and easy to approach in office hours. Class attendance is mandatory as tests are based 100% on lecture, which is based on reading, which is helpful, though not reeeeally needed to do well. Fair tests, fair grading.

was a bit rude and impatient with students. the class consisted of only a midterm and final. subject would have been much more interesting if she didn't go so fast. and most of the time in class was spent trying to decipher her writing. the midterm was doable if you attended class and took good notes.

She is an excellent professor overall. She really works hard to make the class interesting, and to have students participate. She is clear and straightforward and focuses on the material. She can be blunt at times and seem "rude," but she means well and is passionate overall. She makes the material understandable, and enjoyable.I recommend.

Professor is a very bitter person and unreasonable. Can be very rude and impatient with students. Lectures are pointless and everything is out of the book. Definitely would not take her again, never was I so horribly treated by a professor. She could be a demon for all I know.

She has a very heavy & thick accent that made lecture very hard to follow. Horrible writing, you need to sit up close. Her tests were difficult.

The professor was prepared, organized, and clear. She wrote all notes on the board with chalk, but if you sit close it is clear. Was available and approachable during office hours. If you make the effort, you can get an A.

I disliked this class but its not her fault that I hate Macro. Tests were straight out of the book problems and there was a generous curve (I basically failed the final after having done well on the two midterms and still got an A) but the tests will still be hard if you don't find solutions.

I have no idea how she has such high ratings. She was by far the worst professor I've had in my entire UCI experience. She refuses to type anything. no powerpoint, just scribbles on board while speed talking with an accent. Doesn't seem to care at all about students. She is a stay one chapter ahead of the class kind of teacher. AVOID!!!

Knows her material and is helpful but the "flow" of her lectures can get annoying. She'll ask the class a question and wait as long as it takes for an answer. Your answer, if it is right, is usually wrong in some way. Kinda mean. She wants you to read the book and be a good student. Indian but speaks english very well, accent not really an issue
