Comment:
She's a good professor & passionate about the material, but her exams are hard. Go to class- the slides posted are not enough to understand the material, let alone pass the exams. The class was taught to half undergraduates & half graduate students; grades were separated, but it shows how difficult the material is if it counts as graduate class too

Comment:
This was by far the hardest psychology class I have taken. Signed up for the class thinking I would get to learn cool stuff about memory, but we really focused on boring LTP and eyeblink conditioning. Exams are very specific and she expects you to remember every single detail. The curve did not help much since the highest grade was a 97%.

By far one of the hardest neuro classes I've taken but the one in which I learned the most

In order to get a good grade in this class, you must write down and remember every detail she ever says (because posted powerpoints are outlines) and be better relatively than the rest of your class. It's a 400 credit level where most everyone in the class is brilliant but she curves to give 33% Bs

Dr. Wellman is a good professor. Her tests and papers (1pg) are clearly defined in terms of what she wants. You must take notes and pay attention in lecture if you want to understand the material. No attendance taken, but go to all the classes if you want a good grade!

Professor Wellman is an overall fair professor. Her tests cover the subject material gone over in lecture-DEFINITELY take notes, you really don't even need to buy the textbook at all. The writing assignments are short and help to pad your grade.

Tests cover a lot of material. Study notes extensively and use the book for help. Tests only cover material in class. Go to her office hours to ask exactly what she wants on papers. Dr. Wellman expects you to know material front and back. Takes a lot of studying but the class is very interesting

She goes too fast in class and the tests cover way too much material. Our first test was over 6 chapters in the book. You have to know basically every detail within those chapters to do well on the test. Our test average for the class was 64%

The class itself is very organized and structured and she does a great job with the lecture, but she's very cold towards students and does not build a good rapport.

Has a hard time talking to students. She acts like an elitist, for no real reason. Found she cares little about the students and would much rather teach a classroom of professors.

Comment:
She is fairly clear and concise. Class Attendance is not mandatory, however, going to class is fairly necessary due to the level of difficulty of her tests. The tests are hard, but with adequate studying and moderate class participation, the tests should not be that bad. She is very approachable and very clear, and has a funny, yet dry sense of hum

She is good. She's funny, and knows her stuff. But you gotta go to class. She gives practice exams, but the tests are difficult if you don't study.

Not the most exciting teacher, but made it very easy to do well in her class. Grades are based on 4 tests, no homework, no papers. She also curves the tests slightly, which really helps. I took this class over the summer so it may have been easier, but it is still a good class to take for a psych area A class.
