Comment:
I have never met anyone so arrogant, careless about his students, and rude. I have had him for human anatomy and, although he knows what he is talking about, he should no longer be a Lab Coordinator. He has no sympathy, he is useless in terms of assistance, and could care less about helping his students in their time of need. Not impressed at all.

An excellent teacher and a fun, humorous guy! He really knows what he is talking about, explains things really well, and makes jokes all the time. It is very fun and enjoyable to be in his class. Take a class with him if you can!

All of the comments about this lab coordinator from previous years made me rather nervous going into the lab. However, I found Mike Weber to be very kind and helpful. Also, the TAs for this course were very helpful as well, albeit a bit difficult--but a fair difficult.

This guy is SMART, not doubt about it. But he doesn't gove a**** about the students what so ever. He's disorganized and never has anything marked. I try to ask him my mark in the class 2 weeks before the final and he emailed me the day after our final. He didnt update any of our lab marks until an entire month ater our finals, which had NO use.

HORRIBLE MAN!!! Doesn't give two cents about any of his students, and has a lot of attitude!! He knows too much abt what he is doing, which is good...but not good when he is trying to teach it because he expects us to know it all just like he does. He forgets that he is teaching INTRODUCTORY biology!

He's okay, but the marking schemes of his lab are not. Marks largely depend on which TAs grade your labs. He answers email and makes lab instructions straightforward for the most part.

Very tough, lab exams are designed to be difficult, he explains things pretty well but his lab course is a challenge because of the marking...he knows how to "filter" out students so watch out

THIS IS ONE OF THE TOUGHEST COURSES AT CARLETON, and the TAs are such brutal markers when it comes to the formal labs. avg mark 50.

Great guy. Really cares about what the students get out of his lectures. Hires good TA's and always has the lab in tip-top shape for us. The microscopes are really old..what's up with that? Not Mike's fault....class highly recommended.

k, here's a little secret: 1st year bio is a filter course. wow! so yeah, the lab exam is ridiculously difficult. Yes the TAs mark insanely hard. Yes you get stuck with a group mark, no matter if you have a group of dorks. But Mike's not that bad, and it's funny to see how he & Joan joke around all the time.

Comment:
the marking is subjective, there were questions on the exam that had never been taught. TA's are inadequately prepared, cannot answer the simplest question and when they do provide an answer its wrong! This lab section was both frustrating and ridiculous. Seems as if the labs only purpose was to lower our marks.
