Simmons best teacher in my major, yet! Two exams, one cumulative final (not difficult). Material is easy to comprehend, no text book, there is a course reader, easy quizzes. Lectures start a few minutes late, gives breaks, and often end a few minutes early. He is an amazing professor! Any student is lucky to learn from him.

Such a cool nice guy. you can tell he really loves his profession and the subject he teaches. He is always willing to help and to go over things students didn't quite understand. Five 5 point quizzes that are so incredibly easy and three tests. He is not tricky just study the reader and you will get an easy A.

I really enjoyed his 301 and 307 classes. Got an A in both. Only studied for an hour or two for each test. No homework. Tries to keep the class interesting with jokes and short 5 minute breaks. Overall i liked his classes and would recommend it

Very organized and well prepared in lectures. No assignments, just a few quizzes and 3 exams, all of which he is very clear on what he expects you to know. His lectures are pretty dry, particularly at 8am..bring coffee. The material is basic & straightforward. I was able to pull a solid A while leaving cramming to the last minute before tests :)

This class could be a breeze depending on how well at memorizing you are. It was at 8am so i never went, he puts all power points on blackboard so the fill in the blank book thing is has is not really needed. He's a nice teacher, but the material is so boring. I got a B for hardly studying. Keep up on memorizing the material and an A is doable.

He is boring and his material is not something you will ever need to know. His tests are formulated in a way that confuses you when you're reading and he is not helpful.

I took 307 with him too during the summer so I took 301 and 307 at the same time and got A's on both. He must be one of the best teachers I have had at SDSU. Great at explaining, very kind, very smart and the information is interesting. Just go to lecture every day, print slides, take notes and without the book you get an A

Dont need book just study guide and take notes during class.Thats all you need for the exams. He doesnt trick you, he is straight foward in everything.Everyone can get an A in this class.Just go to class, take notes and memorize!

Very entertaining teacher, especially at 8am. Make sure to take notes and buy the study guide. Read the book because he has a few questions from the text on test. If you dont understand something ask. His grading scale is weird, so you have to make sure to stay on top of your studies.

Great professor, but his grading scale is crap. even if you EARNED an 80% in the class he'll still give you a D because thats on his "grading scale". so BE CAREFUL AND CONSIDER YOURSELF WARNED. i forgot that in college if you have a pHD can make up your own grades....

Best teacher in ENS department I have had next to Buono. Attend class pay attention and take notes. I got an A without using the book depending on your intelligence you may or may not need it. Professor is crystal clear. Easy A or B with some effort....take him for whatever class you can....you will enjoy it and you will actually learn something.

This teacher was one of the best I've had at SDSU. The class material is so boring but he makes it interesting with his jokes. I never write professor reviews but I had to for Simmons. Class is relatively easy. You have to go to class for notes because they're not online but it helps to go because he teaches so well! GREAT TEACHER AND EASY CLASS!

Dr. Simmons is awesome. His lectures are interesting, he's really organized and some of his stories/jokes are actually funny. Class is only 190pts,3 tests so every point counts. No extra credit. Buy the study guide/workbook that goes with the class. If you go to class, read the assigned readings and take good notes an A or a B isn't hard to attain.

Dr. Simmons is the best teacher. Better than Voit or Buono. Organized, clear, fair, funny, helpful and makes the info very accesible for students to understand.Do not take the quizzes lightly, as it will affect your grade. The class is very applicable to all areas of life. Not an easy A, study the material, read the book and take good notes.Awesome
