His lectures were kind of useless, but I found him to be quite funny. He always wears this backwards camera wherever he goes. I did everything in my dorm (read through the Google slides myself), never went to class etc and still got an A.

Best, easiest college class ever. The material was basic, the tests were exactly like the questions done in discussion section, and the grading scheme emphasized homework, quizzes, and discussions as much as exams. It's totally possible to skip class and still get an A (unfortunately doesn't give A+). He's a quirky guy but I found it entertaining.

Tests are fair if you just listen to the lectures, and he uploads everything online. Multiple attempts allowed for quizzes to get a good grade.

Definitely the least engaging professor I've every had, which explains why 80% of the class didn't attend his lectures. He never replies to emails and his lectures were pretty painful to sit through. I appreciated his leniency with weekly quizzes, but he worded tests so badly that many students without a stats background were destined to fail.

I took his 3010 and 3020. lectures are kind of dry and there are so many trivial details of stat models / R code that you must pay attention to later in 3020. He uploads all lecture videos to Canvas, but his lectures are generally better (at least 60% students never go to lectures). His OH is helpful and he answers individual questions pretty well.

I took STSCI 2100 this semmester and I absolutely hated it. I had taken a previous into to stats college class that I got a 100 average in and while the homework and discussions were easy. He doesn't word the test well. He is never responsive to emails and the ta I had didn't know anything.

Sometimes students can be a little hyperbolic when they say "oh my god, this professor is the worst." Jeremy Entner lives up to the hype. He is easily the worst teacher I have ever had. Like, in my entire academic history from preschool to college. I would choose my daycare teacher from when I was 3 over Jeremy Enter to teach me statistics. Awful.

Professor Entner does his best to make the lectures fun and enjoyable. Despite it being a 4-credit course, the work was lighter than any other course that I've taken. Lectures weren't mandatory, and he recorded videos for the people who didn't want to show up to the lectures. Definitely take Professor Entner's class for intro stats!

Lectures were extremely dry to the point that they made me hate the content that was being covered and really made me not want to become a stats major. There is no extra credit which is terrible because the class isn't curved and the median is low. The workload is fine but there are no practice prelims or a textbook to get help from.

Entner is one of the more down to earth and funny professors I have had. Always cracks jokes and really tries not to overcomplicate lectures and exams. One wrinkle is that the discussion sections mainly use software not available on the exams, leading to exams that students have not been adequately prepared for. Overall kind and willing to help.

Stats prelims are worded oddly. He makes basic concepts (ie graphs/ p value) more difficult by poorly explaining them. You might be better off in Bio stats.

Just cannot understand him for some reason. I have taken stats class with another prof and found it interesting; however, he pushed me away from learning more stats.

The class was super easy, even with no stats or R background. Lectures got pretty boring and some of the exam questions were a little mysterious, but labs, homework, and quizzes were essentially a guaranteed 100 as long as you put in a tiny bit of effort.

Comment:
This class was not that hard if you have stats experience and the labs on R were very helpful. The only issues with this prof are that some of the questions on his tests are unclear and he is sometimes mean to students in lecture. He does give extra credit and is generally responsive. This class is easy enough that you can get by just with your TA.

Stats and R both aren't my thing but Jeremy made them both pretty easy to understand as a non-math person. All content is covered in lecture, and he makes it easy to take good notes. The class overall is pretty light, not a ton of work.

Comment:
This class is not too conceptually challenging, but it does take up a lot of time. First of all, don't even think about skipping lecture, since everything covered will come up later. Aside from that, the weekly labs have a lot of questions, and are also ambiguously worded to the point that many people need clarification in office hours.
