Comment:
I'd recommend this class to almost anyone. It was both interesting and simple, with a good mix of philosophy. Although there is a good amount of writing in this class, I believe it is still worthwhile to take. There is a lot of extra credit, and he also gives 10-minute breaks every day. (Don't buy the book, there is a free online version)

I love Professor Billings. Wish I had gotten to meet him in person but unfortunately the class was only available online. He gives great feedback and always encourages healthy debate between opposing viewpoints. He even says to let him know if you disagree with him, though he mainly keeps his own biases out of his teaching. Very heavy workload.

If you are not interested in the subject matter, you will have a hard time in this classroom. Each week there is around 5 hours of reading assignments and a few hours of lectures (note taking encouraged). Also there is a weekly response paper and a reflection paper every week. But despite the work, Professor Billings is one of the best I've had.

He's a very nice guy and knowledgable prof! There is quite a bit of reading for each class(which you need to do), and essays on the readings (straight forward easy topics). Quizzes are memorization and final is essays with study guide. The course is actually really interesting, and I learned a lot. Would def recommend if you need a HU course.
