Very clear and makes sure you know what he wants in papers, write-ups, tests, etc...a little boring but I learned a ton in his GOV100 class. Overall, hes very manageable and extremely nice

OMG one of the worst professors that I have ever had... he is always behind on the syllabus and never catches up...he always keeps you late...and expects you to do so much reading that he never goes over and then he puts the smallest things from the reading on the test...i wanted to major in gov but after taking this class im not so sure..

He's a nice guy and very willing to help. But he is a tough grader. He expects you to come to class. You should be prepared with the assigned reading and writing and whatnot because he also expects participation and analysis of the texts provided.

Boring class but I learned a lot. Exams are hard but quizzes are easy. Gives you previous exams prior to test. He is a good guy and very helpful. Monotone voice but can be funny at times!

Professor Friedrich is friendly, helpful, and easy to talk to. If you like the material, the class will be worthwhile although it is fairly dull and boring. Tons of reading and challenging assignments, but a easy and fair grader. He wants his students to do well.

I had heard such terrible things about Professor Friedrich that I was considering dropping the class before it even stated... but I'm so happy that I didn't! He's the nicest man in the world and the class is really just what you make of it. I'm never bored.

Professor Friedrich is a nice professor, though GOV100 was a tad boring. That was probably due to the material though, as our class conversations were interesting most of the time. Just make sure you pay attention in class, his tests seemed to be based more on what we talked about than what was in the text book.

Although Friedrich is a nice guy, class was terribly boring. If you need to take GOV250 you should choose to with someone else. I think the class had great potential for being an interesting learning experience, but failed. The one good thing is that Friedrich is always available to help you out, so even if you struggle you can succeed.

Professor Friedrich can be dull sometimes but overall he is a very good professor. He is easily available in his office and he is always more than ready to help you. He requires a good bit of reading, much of which is not discussed in class, but I feel like I learned a lot from him in the end. I would definitely take another of his classes.

While well intentioned, Prof. Friedrich did not convey the material for this course effectively. He assigns a large amount of reading, and cannot cover the material in class. While the material itself is not difficult, his teaching style makes exams a challenge. Ive ended with a good grade however for a 200 level course i spent too much time on it

Good prof, for the most part. Assigns WAY TOO MUCH READING. Expects you to have all of it done, and know it in detail. Powerpoint notes help, he gives them to you before the midterm and final. Tries to make class interesting, but does get stuck on one point for too long at times. Ok overall, but he does expect a lot of you.

Boring as 1-1 E LL, doesn't really teach, and expects you to know a whole book with 6 million pages on a final, gives 4 grades, and expects you to read over 100 pages for homework, don't take it

Subject matter, political research, is really really boring. I don't think it's necessarily Dr. F's fault (a little heavy on slides though) but can't we get rid of this annoying Gov major requirement which I will consciously avoid in the working world? He is a nice guy, out to help, etc.

He was the worst teacher that I have ever had. He assigns a ton of reading each week, and does not even attempt to go over what we read, but he makes sure to put any of the topics on the 5,0000 pages we are responsible for on the exam.Dont take his class!
