The lessons are confusing you have to learn them yourself. Lots of group work and excel it is hard in the beginning but you get use to it. Every class there is a hw assignment. She's honestly really easy if you study and do work you'll be able to pass.

A lot of homework, likes to use excel for a lot of homework assignments. Does math labs and a lot of group work. Shes very available for extra help and is always asking if anyone has questions.

Goes through multiple sections in one class, does not pause for questions, gets annoyed when people need help. She expects you to enter her class knowing everything. All she does is read off the textbook and doesnt actually teach anything. Nobody understands anything she is saying. If you take her class, be prepared to teach yourself everything.

Very hard to understand personally. Gives a really small amount of time for quizzes and tests. Expects you to know memorize everythings and speeds through class.

She's teaches tough courses but her way of teaching really isn't that bad. She gives lots and lots of examples during class and offers help for homework/classwork all the time. She really makes you work hard. I didn't mind her at all. Her accent is perfectly comprehensible ... not sure why people had problem at all with that

took her for calc1 and got an A- so I study and put forth the effort to do well in a college course. I took her for calc2 because she is the only professor that teaches it in the fall, I highly regret it. She won't answer questions for us because "we don't have time" to review old material. It is hard to meet with her due to office hour conflict

She mostly tried but did poorly answering any questions that students had. She speaks English well so I don't know what's going on with the other guy. Office hours help.

Very nice and very respectful. No trouble with her accent at all. This course required a lot of hands on learning and it was very insightful to see how we can apply math to real world concepts. She was always willing to work with her students.

This teacher barely speaks English and is very hard to understand, do not take this class if you want to pass. She is terrible.

Betty was the real OG. Truly great teacher. Always available for extra help anytime you needed her. Definitely tough, but what did you expect. Its college.

Cares more about sticking to the syllabus than taking time to make sure her students understand the material. She teaches really fast, you'll have to ask her to repeat herself a few times to understand what she's explaining. Take this class with another professor if you can.

She really isn't as bad as people make her seem. Yes she has an accent but she really knows her stuff. If you put effort into her class you shouldn't have a problem. Gives a lot of examples for everything she teaches (which are helpful for hw & tests). Attending class and taking notes is extremely important. Give her a chance and put in the effort

She was reasonable at the begnning but changed late on to be very unreasonable by giving many uncovered problems in test to dramatically lower your grade from A to D in the test. Your overall final grade would be lower too.

She may not be the greatest teacher but you have every opportunity to do well. If you feel that you wont be able to understand her, then sit closer to the front. Pretty much everything she teaches will be enough to help you on the homework. The online homework may be a pain but she practically uses the exact same questions on the test

Extremely hard to understand. Extremely. You wont understand anything unless youre laser focused. The course itself isnt hard at all. Betty just cant explain anything. Go for another professor. This class would've been a nightmare if it wasn't for the MLC and YouTube. I tried to pay attention but just could not get past her accent and fast pace

She is the most adorable woman. Honestly, I could've gotten an A if I tried harder because she is a fair professor. I took pre-calc as a Senior and it was enough to do well in her class. Prof Gold is harder than her so I recommend Liu. You still have to work aka do ALL the HW (no joke bc tests/quizzes are like it). Put effort in & youll be fine.

If you do not have a background in Calc then good luck to you. She assigns problems that the math tutoring center could not help me with or other professors. He approach is very confusing and I had to hassle friends in order to pass. Final is made up of previous test and tests are made up of mostly things that was gone over in class. beware.

She is a sweet lady, always announces when she is collecting the homework and grading it, and the quizzes are questions from the homework. Her lectures are confusing unless you have prior knowledge of the subject. I found myself seeking extra help before every quiz and test.

Her accent can be confusing but her notes are easy to follow. Homework can be tough but she offers so much help. Calculus was not an easy class but Betty will help you all the way. Her tests come DIRECTLY from home work and quizzes. I would not mind having her again.
