Comment:
I saw the previous review and had to jump in, felt like something written without compassion for professors right now. Like all classes, the transition to online has been difficult. There has been challenges with the course, but Prof. Cockcroft seems like a caring man, and I believe future students will have a positive class experience with him.

Hands down one of the worst profs I've ever had. His mental health is clearly deteriorating. He often uses the wrong terminology so you can't be sure whats right or wrong unless you try to correct him. He really makes you work for your grades and is not clear about grading criteria. He also makes empty promises about posting examples or solutions.

Great lectures, very fun to attend and keep the interest of the students. A good balance of theory and calculations in exams. Very good marker, if you deserve the mark you will get it. ATTEND CLASS FOR BEST RESULTS

He makes the weirdest exam, it is a class about general ideas of materials, but he made the exam all about small details. The midterm and final only test on the slides(small points) (he said that the questions will all come from the textbook) and he is not very good at explaining stuff even though the content of the class is interesting

Midterm is unfair because he gives strange questions and also tough marker. Really arrogant , be careful when you communicate with him. Doesn't care about students.

Steve is a good guy, jokes around with the students, fair assignments and exams, just study old exams. Always willing to answer questions, and likes to be challenged in class. Dont be intimidated, Steve likes to get to know his students.

Fair professor. Nothing too strong or weak. Has a tendancy to be very arrogant, which can break off communication with students.
