Very unorganized. All she does is put everything out there and pray that you understand everything, which is ridiculous and unbelievable. Her homework instructions are just ridiculously messy. Please don't take her class if you have any other options

Unorganized and confusing curriculum. I don't understand why we need to go to an unsafe place at midnight to watch a movie just for a bonus mark doesn't care if someone has work or other arrangements for the next day and have to show up in person. Many times disrespectful

Had her for a WGST course that was not listed on this rating site. And agree with all the comments below, she is rude and a hard grader, and very opinionated which should NEVER be the case for a WGST course. Do not take a course with her unless you want to fail. Wish Carleton would pick someone compassionate to teach

Comment:
A Phd student who was a TA, thinks she can mark papers based on her opinions- if you don't have the same view as her on something (even if you give examples) she will mark you horribly. When confronted about a low grade she will send you a very rude email. Not compassionate at all. Do not waste your time with this one.

The most unprofessional prof I have ever had. Asked for an extension for an assignment, which was granted then she gave me a 0 on my paper, then proceeded to write a social media status about me, which in no way is professional. 100% do not recommend, save yourself the headache and choose another prof who is actually passionate & not opinionated.

Meg is teaching a combination of legal issues and a women and gender studies class which provides unique challenges. The way in which she teaches you can immediately tell that she cares about what her students have to say and she wants to learn from her students as much as she wants to teach. course code isn't right there wasn't LAWS 4904.

I had Meg as a professor at Concordia University and she was AMAZING. She cares about her students, she takes a more modern and fun way of teaching. She gave us freedom to have fun with our assignments. Every week was so fun and she always kept things very interesting! Most importantly she takes the time to give you immense feedback! never boring:)

I really enjoyed the topics covered, the assignments, and readings. I think she gave us a lot of freedom for what we could study which made it much more enjoyable, and having to incorporate multiple readings helped me keep myself accountable. Lectures were a bit dry and had a lot of videos, other than that it was a pretty good class

Comment:
Meg served as a TA in a class at the onset of COVID-19 having no conception of compassion. She arrogantly rejected the expert opinion of criminal law practitioners on a paper, opting to construct her critique around her research - which are irrelevant and non-academic Q,F,CR & Intersectional theories

I had her as a TA. She gave me the lowest grades I ever received at Carleton (Im in 4th year now). She is an extremely tough grader and when I tried to discuss my grade she pointed out that since my paper was one of the last she marked the grade was understandably less generous(??). Her feedback doesnt reflect the mark. Avoid if you can

Meg tried her best but she simply is not a good instructor. Very confrontational when dealing with students and ideas that transcend her critical/socialist view of actuality. Content and theories are clearly removed from any air of reality. Hopefully here future courses are better.
