Comment:
Mik is incredibly sweet and caring and truly wants you to do well in his class. Show him a little effort and he will respect you. His exams are just like the practice exams he gives beforehand so be sure to do those! Hes good at explaining questions one on one. The material is not easy so you do have to put in some time to practice.

Really, really bad. Avoid if you can, if not you have my condolences. Unfortunately my college made me take Stats with him so I didn't have a choice. Prepare yourself for chicken scratch on the board and rambling that makes zero sense. You can get through it, you may just want to drown your sorrows in alcohol afterwards.

He is generous in grading but his course is very challenging and difficult. If you get a 90+ in this couse, that will be an incredible achievement

Can't speak for 100 lvl coursework, but definitely a worthwhile prof for 300 lvl coursework. I found him to be an enthusiastic instructor who styled the class so students understood concepts and applied them; difficult material, but rewarding. Also, he rewarded students for their efforts and invested time with detailed feedback. Recommended.

Comment:
This course was frustrating. Not because the material was too difficult, but because he was disorganized, vague, and indifferent. The textbook was satisfactory, but not appropriate for the course, which didn't include Trig. Be prepared to self-teach. Calculus virgin & got 89 with some effort and a few overgenerous markers.

Comment:
The material covered in this course isn't too complicated, but Mik confuses everybody during lectures with his examples in class. We spend roughly 30 minutes each class on clicker questions which he said "won't be on the final," yet most of the complicated word problems he took 3 lectures to explain each were on the final exam! Not Recommended!

Comment:
Quite possibly the most vague and unclear person ever. Uses an extremely out of date text which contains no useful, relevant or understandable examples. Spends most of the class discussing random and irrelevant things (ie. polar bears, golden ratio, greeks and romans). If not for prior math knowledge would be failing for sure. Not recommended

Great professor. Very clear, talented and expressive lecturer, uses real life examples to bring the course material to life. Very clear about what is expected for exams and assignments. 10/10. Would take again.

Bickis has a very odd way of teaching, he uses up more than half the class doing useless clicker questions and when it gets to the exam there are quections worth 20% that he never even talked about in class. Good luck if you stay in his class.

AVOID THIS PROF. Worst experience in math I've ever had. Class is sadly mandatory bc he has clicker quizes that take up 35 min of class. Math 125 is suppose to be easy and recommended, class avg was 50%, he waited 20% of the exam on a log-log plot he never once talked about. Never have I ever seen so many 0. Textbook is from 1970s, and is useless

Professor was terrible, textbook was terrible. I do not recommend anyone to take a math course from him. Unorganized, deliberately unhelpful and does not teach all the adequate material for assignments and midterms. Presented a lot of useless information and lectures were unorganized. Did not feel like I learned anything useful out of this course.

This class is not easy by any means. Professor Bickis has a unique teaching style that most first- and second-year students may not be accustomed to. Do yourself a favour and brush-up on your math skills prior to taking this class - you'll need them. This class makes you think, but it's worth it.

Today, during a physics problem, Professor Bickis said that the river moved, instead of the current. He arbitrarily throws out answers without any comprehensible explanation. If I survive this class without ending up in AA or rehab, it will be an accomplishment. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS AT ALL.

I loved math prior to taking this class. Now I absolutely hate math because of this professor. He is absolutely ridiculous and cannot teach. It is not fair how students have to pay to sit in class with someone who does not know how to teach. Absolutely ridiculous and frustrating. He pulled random things for the midterm. Not fair.

Worst and most infuriating prof. EVER! He assumes that you know everything so gives no explanation. He constantly puts the wrong answers on his clicker question without noticing until he works it out. Oh and midterm? Don't believe him if he tells you it will be multiple choice! I will never take another class from him!

This professor is absolutely horrible. Drop any class that you see his name under, before it is too late! He does not give any examples, rambles on and on, and teaches in the most archaic , roundabout, and confusing way. His clicker and lab questions are super easy, but he pulls his mid-term questions out of nowhere. Just drop.

most confusing and frustraing prof, ever. writes up random equations without explanation and then simply say ok? No it's not ok, because your midterms are hell. you will be the reason that my 94% average will drop to the point of academic probation. DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS!!! run while you can

All over the place, teaches simple stuff in class (waste of time) and gives very hard questions for hand-in. I was better at math before I took this class.
