really disorganized, comes late to class and her lectures are not planned at all. almost like shes not even a prof. shes a really sweet girl though but her confusion makes the class unclear and makes students have less time to get the lecture through with and do their homework. essays are heavy and she marks hard with bad feedback

Dr. Kehlers lectures have great depth and insight. She has an incredible way of bringing centuries old works alive and relavant in the 21st century

Comment:
Dr. Kehler's class was very disorganized, marked with high expectations, and given very little in terms of a proper outline for assignments and the final exam. Lectures were extremely dry and boring and so were the readings. I would not take her class again

Comment:
I would like to reiterate that Dr. Kehler's chaotic lecture do not define her as a person -- she's very nice, approachable, and insightful. Although she is quite intelligent, her classes just aren't worth it. She can ramble on for hours, you need a dictionary to understand her, and her grading criteria is not clear at all. Would not recommend.

Comment:
Quite possibly the worst professor I've come across in 3 years at McMaster. Her lecturing is enthusiastic but is so off-topic and all over the place that it's hard to get much out of it. She isn't the slightest bit flexible for accommodations (even SAS ones) and isn't clear about expectations for assignments. Avoid this class with Dr. Kehler.

Dr. Kehler is very passionate about broadening learning horizons. She encourages students to think for themselves. Her lectures are both engaging and theory-heavy. While I didn't get all the theories, I worked at it and she saw my efforts. I appreciated that in such a large class. She is brilliant, kind, generous. Her daily apparel was fun to see!

Amazing woman who is very nice and so passionate and knowledgable in her field, but her lectures are very hard to follow. Uses confusing language. I was better off looking up summaries of texts online. Hard exam.

Professor Kehler is an inspirational woman. She is so incredibly insightful and kind. She incorporates ideas of compassion and care for humanity in all of her lectures and invites her students to reflect upon themselves in these ways. If you take nothing away from the course material you will still be left with a consciousness for compassion.

If I could take every class with Dr. Kehler, I would. She is without a doubt my favourite prof at Mac. She takes the time to get to know you, even in a larger class, and is always up to talk, inside and outside of class time. She seems to click with every TA she works with, which helps a lot. Oh, and it was fun to see what she'd wear every day

Amazing professor! She is adorable - incredibly passionate. Her ideas were very engaging and thought provoking. I absolutely loved the course. Only issue I had with the course was the amount of MC on the final exam. Alas, a very energetic, informed, and sweet professor - great material chosen for the course.

Beyond comprehensible at times. Talks too face and too much, throwing in huge words right and left. The marking scheme is the worst for this course. While it is interesting, almost impossible to get an A.

One of the best professors I have had at McMaster. Very familiar with the material and makes it interesting. Cares about students and has stopped me outside of the classroom numerous times to ask me how I'm doing. Has the ability to remain energetic even during a night class. Highly recommended!
