Glad I took this class with Prof Guido Raso. I have to say that Microeconomics is really difficult to understand but he made this a lot easier ! You just have to come prepared and take notes during his lecture. Feel free to ask any questions in the middle of the lecture cuz he will definetly answer your questions and go over it again and again

Overall great professor but if you take his course, you should go to class. He doesn't post notes or lecture slides online and doesn't use any in class. Just uses the whiteboard and talks.

Microeconomics is not an easy class to go into but Guido was very patient and made the class pleasant to attend. He sincerely wants his class to do well and he will explain any questions you have with great detail. going to classes is important as at content comes 90% from what is taught on the board. 2 online projects, 1 midterm, 1 exam

I'm really glad I took microeconomics with Professor Raso as my professor as he made the subject easier to understand and interesting. While the course is difficult, showing up to class, doing the readings, and studying for the assignments will definitely prepare you for the midterm and final exam.

A stand out prof! He clearly cares about the course and his students and wants everyone to do well. Econ is a difficult course but you will be well prepared if you do the readings and attend the lectures he will point you in the right direction to succeed! Very approachable. If you have the chance, sign up for his classes

Guido is probably one of the nicest professors I've ever had. It's a hard class and the midterm and final are all multiple choice which makes it a little confusing but he really wants his students to do well as long as he sees that you really try. If you read the chapters before class and show up and listen then you shouldn't have a problem.

Raso is a decent prof, and really works hard for his students but this introductory level course ended up being exceptionally boring and uninteresting. Economics is a fairly niche discipline though, and I don't blame Raso one bit for my poor performance. Very kind, patient and knowledgeable prof.

He is an amazing prof. He teaches very well. I studied alot from the book and his notes but everything in the final and midterm is from his own notes so if you go to class and take notes you will do well. Only downside is your forced to buy the book for online assignments even tho you dont need to use it to study for the exams.

Really good professor! Very fair, clear and friendly. If it wasn't for the busy work season, I would have gone to every single one of his class and had done better in the class.

pretty awful prof, his lectures are extremely boring and he takes a very long time to explain a simple concept. As well, his grading is extremely hard and does not willingly give it high marks. I would try to avoid his class if possible.

Amazing prof! Economics is a very tough course but Guido doesnt make it any more difficult than it needs to be... He chooses only the most important chapters and tells you exactly what to study! Attendance is very important otherwise the textbook is a bit confusing! Also gives M/C assignments before exams worth 10% only to get you studying early!

A very caring professor, Always available after class to ask questions. Lectures never run the full time. Make sure to buy the textbook. The best marks in the class were the people who attended every class, but I wouldn't say its mandatory. Knows the information inside and out. Tests are hard, but fair, no surprise information. All multiple choice

I took CECN104 in the summer of 2016. Prof. Guido was extremely arrogant and unhelpful. His test included questions that had never been covered in class. I would recommend taking this course online if it is available instead of taking it from him.

Classes were good, subject matter is explained well in class but test questions were worded far more technically which made the midterm tough. Many graphs and good explanations of how and why. All eraser board and notes, no tech stuff. Open and fair teacher. Would take another course from him for sure. Notes and class attendance are key to text

He IS kinda old-school (doesn't used blackboard, makes you read textbook, no slides write your own notes etc) but if you pay attention to lectures you will be fine. McGraw-Hill Connect online practice questions are crucial for studying. Ask questions and he will explain thoroughly. Overall good natured guy, cares about his students.
