Repetitive- runs out of things to talk about once there are 30 minutes left. Do not upset him(talking during his lecture and avoid laptop use if possible) If you do something he doesn't like, he will stop his lecture, harp on it incessantly, and will not let it go, for at least 5-10 minutes. Very aggressive/sarcastic/rude/hard to deal/reason with.

If you don't have to take this class, don't. Don't take it just because you find the concept of death and afterlife particularly insightful. Thomas spends a lot of his lecture time ranting. The book is extremely unclear and vaguely written, as are his quizzes and exams. This is not an "easy A" class. Easily my worst grade this semester.

Myladil is a peaceful Indian man, one you would expect to be teaching such a topic. He speaks the whole time while occasionally writing on the board, which can make you drowsy if you take it in the afternoon. Read the text once (Twice for an A) before quizzes and exams and listen to what he repeats in class and you should get at least a B+.

So basically, you read a chapter and he goes over it in class with other stuff. He lectures soooo much, show up to class with a cup of coffee cause Zzzzz... Also, his quizzes and exams are short so you need to know your stuff if you wanna do well on those.

Had to kind of work for the grade, but it's not that bad. Just go to class, pay attention and you'll be fine. The quizzes are based entirely on the readings and you can use the book for exams so highlight important terms. Theres 3 exams (20ish quest.), 3 quizzes (only out of 5), and participation (sign-in sheet). Passionate & interesting course.

Myladil's class was overall average & interesting at times. As long as you read the chapters for each quiz(necessary) and study lecture notes for tests you will be fine! Don't miss class also cause attendance counts. Lectures can get boring but he does emphasize on and will repeat all important info. Ill say it again don't fall behind on reading!

Hard to understand. VERY SPECIFIC quizzes. He expects you to read 20 pages of text and asks really in depth questions. It's like finding a needle in the haystack. Also, never answers email. Very condescending and very boring. He drags out EVERY word. I fell asleep by ACCIDENT 2 times. my grade in orgo was HIGHER than this class.

The material could be somewhat interesting, but his class can be very boring. Attendance is a part of your grade. You lose points for being late/leaving early/being on your phone. Quizzes are open book for ten minutes. Exams are based entirely on lectures. Reading is not very interesting, but neccessary to do well on quizzes

Myladil means well but can be hard to understand. You need to read to do well on the quizzes. Tests can be tricky, and attendance is required. Skipping class eventually amounts to quite a bit of points deducted off your grade. Just be ready to read, sit through boring lectures, never miss class and you'll get an A easy

Not the worst teacher at Rutgers but not the best. His lectures are boring and long, material in class and in readings are on tests and quizzes which aren't too bad. Treats his students like elementary schoolers, will stop class for a few minutes to point out someone on their phone. Has an accent so some words come across as unclear.

Wasn't extremely easy but you can slack and probably still pass with a B. You have to read for the 3 quizzes and his 3 exams are pretty straight forward, basically everything he says in his lectures. Lectures are long and boring but if you pay attention and take notes on everything he says it should be an easy A.

This man is extremely strict with attendance. If you go to every class he gives extra credit. All quizzes are open book. He has a thick accent so it's hard to understand what he's saying and can't understand students' questions sometimes. Went to his office hours and wasn't very helpful. Not exactly an easy A, probably wouldn't take again.

his lectures were straight forward and the exams were pretty easy as long as you take notes. The quizzes were all open book, but you should read to be prepared because you only have 10 minutes. The one negative thing is that he makes you feel really bad if you do not answer a question correctly. Attendance is graded!

This class is close to an easy-A, however I would care to argue that it's very easy to slip up and lose your A. The exams are mediocre, sometimes confusing with some questions making you lose points easily if you second guess yourself. The professor is pretty clear about everything, do the readings before quizzes so you don't lose letter grades.

This class was pretty easy. The exams are straight from the lectures but the quizzes sometimes ask really detailed questions from the book, so you definitely have to read the chapters carefully. All of our quizzes were open book but since there was a 10 min time limit, it was hard to find the answers in time. Overall an easy class if you read.

Difficult to understand but repeats what he says a lot. passionate about his job. must go to lecture and study all the lecture notes. i recommend making diagrams to compare religions if possible because the questions on the exam involve a lot which include more than one answer.
