One of the most interesting people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. Prof G is quite eccentric, but in a good way. Goes off topic sometimes during tutorial sessions. If you like Seinfeld, especially the humour of Larry David, then you will love his class. Overall, a pretty good prof, but you'll have to put in the effort if you want a good mark

Lectures can be fascinating when he gets on topic, but is usually only really on topic for the last 15-20 minutes of the lecture.

What to say... well, if you like B's, this is the prof for you. If you're a C student, maybe this is a good thing for you. If you want A's, maybe not. At the very least, if you're not concerned about a high GPA, it is comforting to know that you can get the same mark by not trying as you can by pouring your heart into your work.

very interesting and knowledgeable, cannot be clear in what he is trying to say. didnt actually have him for tutorials but he would come in frequently when original prof was sick. quite difficult to understand him because he speaks often on a completely different level than most students, did not learn very much from his lectures bc inconsistent

SUCH A LOSER. will never give an A unless you literally worked your butt off for 20 years researching the topic. if you are expected to write a philosohpical essay, just expect the highest- a B. like ALL the marks he gives. Almost no C's, but no A's either. Always thinks HIS opinion is the right one. wanna be successful? drop the class.

Please do not be scared of this man. I was a little aprehensive at first but once our discussion class warmed up to him we had so much fun. Although he is a little eccentric, I would not consider it a bad quality. Once you understand how brilliant and amazing he really is, you'll enjoy going to his classes.

Had it not been for Glouberman, I would have hated Arts One. His appearance closely resembled that of the homeless but that was part of the intrigue and hilarity that is Mark Glouberman. He was engaging and entertaining and when he was aware you didn't read the text, he indulged the class in one of his many best jokes or party favors . So worth it.

Glouberman is the best ArtsOne prof. Not only will he rip apart anyone intellectually, he is a hilarious human being. Anyone who says Glouberman can't lecture can't understand English, anyone who says he's a "failed philosopher" and a "unmotivated" is a failure and an uninspired waste of life. Take Arts One with the Globe, best thing I ever did

Challenge him. All you need to do is engage him and think critically and you'll do well. He is a bit eccentric and lacks a structured teaching style so avoid him if you expect to live by your notes.

I really recommend that you don't take arts one from him. You're guaranteed to end up with a bad to average mark (no A's) and not be inspired at any point. Could barely stand to sit through "discussions" (which were lectures) and skipped a lot by the end of the year. I regret taking that course at all now. Don't do it, even if the time fits best.

Glouberman isn't the clearest, most helpful prof. However, he's one of the most interesting men I've ever met. He knows something about everything, he's incredibly intelligent, and his marking isn't as hard as expected. On exam day, he gave me a note saying "keep writing - look up Simon Frith". I still have it. He changed the way I see the world.

the worst prof ever. unmotivated and unmotivationg. unenthused and uninterested. will not offer help or suggestions and if he does on the rare occassions it is completely ambiguous and unclear. his lectures and seminars are useless if not more confusing than the philosophical books themselves. DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH THIS MAN.you WILL regret it.

Absolutely terrible lecturer. Incapable of following a logical, coherent, directed lesson plan. Constantly references things that are way over my head. Became increasingly difficult to sit through his lectures. In short, I hate this man.

Amusing lecturer. Likes to pick fights with the other profs. Proved that one can get away with bringing everything back to one's area of expertise. Sometimes his arguments don't make sense... but it all works out in the end.

Ugh, I didn't really like it when he lectured...brought everything back to the Bible, and he talks himself into circles at times...I'm sure it makes sense in his head, but at least Labrie had a definable direction halfway through his lectures.
