She is one of the most disrespectful, lazy and moody teachers I have ever had and the deal was only by email. She doesn't give you clear directions and then she takes points away from you on projects for something she never said. At the end of the projects it's like you have to guess what she wants you to do, to get the final grade.

This woman does simply not care! Her class is a disaster! She tells you to work on multiple assignments on the first day of class and she advised every student to drop her class. She only wants you to drop her class so there is less work for her to do. NEVER take this professor. RUN AWAY AS FAR AS YOU CAN IT IS NOT WORTH YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY!

I really should have just dropped out. She's not helpful at all, doesn't respond to emails, and her directions are very misleading. She told us to do a presentation, i did, and failed it because I didn't do a report. There was no where in the directions saying to do a report. It's the little things like that that made her class hell. Don't bother.

By far worst professor I've had in my life. I have never done this so I feel its the right thing to do. This professor needs to quit her job. I tried contacting her through e-mails but will never get back to you unless you spam her with non stop emails. I tried scheduling meets cause I was stuck but does not accept that and the meet is online?

I was forced to spend extra money on an online book. I took this as a summer class and I did not enjoy it one bit. She has very poor communication skills when it comes to her emails and if you are starting out as a business major do yourself a favor and avoid this professor at all costs. I was stuck reading a chapter almost everyday it was horrible

I'm currently in her class and... what? She doesn't have a teaching style as it's just completing homework on Connect then taking an exam. On moodle, she gives resources and videos with no explanation to them. Maybe they're helpful, but I have no idea how they're twined into what I'm teaching myself. No direction, blunt and unhelpful in emails.

DON'T TAKE! THE REVIEWS DON'T LIE! Talk about a professor who doesn't care. Tons of homework!. Worked my butt off the whole class and did not get one grade below a C-. Got A's on every exam and HW Assignment. And SOMEHOW GOT A D ON MY FINAL GRADE! I am currently challenging her on my grade. Have sent multiple emails to the Business department.

I have never complained about a professor before since I respect their profession very much. The issue here is the respect is not reciprocated at all. There is a lot of homework and very unclear directions with projects. If English is your second language DO NOT TAKE! Her syllabus clearly says it and I find that highly offensive.

Professor Deane is is not a good professor. If you want to reach her good luck! If she answers her email it's days later, there's no other way to contact her, and her communication style is best described as hostile. Her courses are almost entirely on the textbook website. It's not impossible to do well in her course she just makes it unpleasant.

Lucy's a good example of why academic tenure can be a bad thing. She has no interest in seeing students succeed or actually teaching them anything. Do not give any of your money to this awful excuse for a professor. Taking her class is like paying someone else to end up just teaching yourself. She is a disgrace to actual working professors at BCC.

So rude and doesn't care about her students. No way this lady can be allowed to be a teacher. Took her class online and she gave so much work. Didn't do a single thing, everything was through connect. Gave us the wrong code the first time and blamed it on the class. Had to redo the first 4 chapters. The worst.

Worst professor you could ever have. She's rude, discouraging, negative, and will push you to drop her course. She doesn't actually teach, just takes straight from the textbook. It's time for her to retire. She wants your money, but doesn't want to put in the effort to teach. Can't stress enough how terrible Lucy Deane is. Avoid her at all costs.

Attempted to take her for Business Math. She is the absolute worst professor at Bergen. All I can say is, you may as well just buy the book and teach yourself because that's what all students end up doing. It's as if she wants your money and then drives you to drop the class so she can keep the money and not have to put in the work for teaching.

There is so much work for no reason. Makes you sign up with connect and there are quizes for each chapter that are 100+ questions which take more than two hours. It is a waste of time i rather just read the chapter and answer textbook questions. This class just teaches how to memorize not to actually learn the subjuect. Would not suggest this class

REALLY unclear with Connect and assignents, if your assignment is late by even an hour she won't accept it, unlike the many fantastic and understanding professors at Bergen who will allow a little bit of leeway for minor infractions such as that. She actually told us she would rather we DROPPED the class than actually explain it to us. DO YOUR JOB!
