I read reviews on this professor before I started his class and told myself, maybe i'll have a better experience than other people, but i was wrong.. If your not a seasoned IT working in the field, this will be an extremely difficult class. Networking is hard enough and with little to no guidance, we were setup to fail.

How in the actual hell are we expected to know how to network and enable LANs and VLANs when this is an entry level course? I understand that online classes are usually harder, but having to do the projects in the class was literal torture. Instructions were unclear and I felt that no actual teaching was ever done. This class is already hard as is.

Professor Jackson was the worst professor I've ever had. He is extremely vague in his assignments, while there is one of the heaviest work loads I've ever had in a class. Takes up to two days to respond to any email questions and will not give you a break on grading. Drop immediately if you see this name.

Terrible professor, Tough grader, Instructions are not clear. This class is supposed to be entry-level, After spending roughly 6 weeks now in his class, I feel like you have to be in the IT field for over 3 years. I will never take this professor's course again, and my advice is to drop it once you see the name.

Worst professor I have ever had. He was super vague when asking for help. Would not provide proper instructions on how to complete the assignments. The fact that my IT director at work was not able to figure out his instructions for class work proves Jackson is not even a teacher. Teachers are suppose to teach, not sit back and watch you fail.

Prof Jackson is by far the worst professor I've had while in school. He expects you to know how to network while this is an entry level course and avoids/dodges questions when asked. There were very little to no resources for help throughout this course and I was left lost and confused at the end of it all. Id avoid this professor !

Somewhat of a tough grader, and didn't give very clear directions on some assignments. I never had an issue with him getting back to me via email in a timely manner, but was quite vague with his responses sometimes which irritated me. I was nervous taking his course after seeing his score, but overall I really don't have many complaints at all.

This is an online course and not enough resources are given, which can be difficult for some students. I would email the professor to get help and the professor wasnt clear with his responses. I felt like I just had to figure out everything on my own.

This class was a 7 week online class. I sent 6 emails over the course of the class and got 2 responses and they did not answer everything I asked. This was difficult as there was no textbook and no help outside of the class itself. Also discussion questions are based on your field of study which is difficult when you are not in the field yet.
