She is an AMAZING prof. Her lectures are very engaging and interesting. Although she doesn't use power point slides, its all verbal lectures so you might fall asleep listening lol. She's super caring and laid back. Honestly made this online learning enjoyable. Take her class!

The only things we were marked on were 2 midterms and a final. Which wasn't bad because it gave me the opportunity to focus on my other subjects a bit more. However, the tests were a little tricky at times. And the online lectures made it hard to stay focused, as she never posted slides or her screen. We just watched her talk the full 80 minutes

She only does 3 exams that are worth 30/35% each for the whole semester which I've never been the best at. Her lectures are decent in the least and she seems passionate. She has strange answers for exams at times but don't bother emailing her if you want to get clarification on stuff you misunderstood; she won't help you.

Chris has a passion for what she does and provides notes for all the lecture which was awesome. I did find her to be a touch marker as I am used to getting As but what can you do. Very interesting class and she gives good lectures. Would take something from her in the future. Expect to read a large quantity of information and watch a lot of videos

Christine is one of the best profs I have had in my first year of uni. I wish I found ANTH more interesting as a course so I could retake her because her lectures were so interesting even at 8 am. definitely recommend her as an easy class (3 midterms and no assignments- tests only have info from her notes so pre straight forward 10/10 recommend

Christine is very nice and you can tell she enjoys what she does. I would definitely take her again. The lectures are very long and quite boring but she has a good attitude. The exams are very fair if you study her lecture notes. Personally I would not take Anthropology again because it is very boring but I'm happy I got her as a prof.

Christine is a great prof. Her tests are decent; and I thought I should've gotten some answers right but its not a big deal. You need to watch the video she sends or shows in class. I loved her as a prof, but I just hate anth.

I would 100% recommend anyone to take her. I would recommend to attend class but its not the end of the world if you miss some or half *cough cough* like me. You need to attend class and watch any videos to answer the short answer questions in her tests.

Christine is the best professor ever. She is super easy going, funny and open minded about new ideas and new things she may learn from students. Her tests are really easy so long as you show up to the lectures and even if you dont her lecture notes are basically identical to the test. Her classes are stress free. TAKE HER CLASSES SHE IS AMAZING!!!

Fall 2020 was my first year at MRU and I could not have asked for a better prof. Her ANTH1103 is graded on 2 term tests and a final. Her tests are based on notes which were provided. lectures weren't mandatory but most attended anyway because they were fun. Welcoming to opposing views and did not shame anyone. I didn't use the textbook

Love Chris! She is very understanding about classes being online, she makes lectures pretty enjoyable and interactive, very friendly, a good teacher and the tests are based on the lectures and notes so it isn't that heavy on the textbook use

I didn't attend class much as attendance wasn't mandatory for online, but she was great and charismatic. we only had 2 midterms and the final to be graded on, not cumulative. she explains topics well and sometimes the textbook isn't required for grades. though there are weekly videos to help with concepts! enjoy the class!

As a conservative I found it extremely hard to be in this class. she will constantly let her own political opinions form our conversation. it was hard for me to sit through each class becuase every conversation we had I was on the exact opposite side of the argument. This class took everyone of my political and moral values tore them down.

This whole course mark consisted of three exams so it is a good course if you do well on exams. I wish we had some assignments to boost marks honestly. Great professor though, very fun to listen to. Always incorporating personal stories that fit with what we're learning in the course. She is very knowledgable.

Was an interesting course to take with her. Lots of papers and 1 group project that consisted of each writing individual essays and then presenting to the class your essay. Tests were difficult and you need to pay attention to the readings to pass

Christine is an AMAZING professor. Everyone I know who has taken her class absolutely loves her. She is clearly passionate about her work and her lectures are very engaging. The final grade is based off of 3 exams, so as long as you study you should be fine. Her tests are all based off of the lectures and the textbook is used as an aid.

Chris uploads all of the required readings online. Expect to read 1 journal article per week, ranging from 15 to 50 pages. Chris does not use/post slides or notes for her class. The midterm/final are both heavily based on class discussion so if you skip class there is no way you can pass. Exam questions are, however, very straightforward and easy.
