Terrible professor. She expects you to be experts in a subject that is extremely hard to understand. She grades very unfairly and very difficult. She does not just require you to understand her material she expects you to know everything. She was very hard and rude to deal with. I highly do not suggest her as a professor.

I had Tracy for Bio 318 and 317. She's an amazing prof and faculty member, and if you're enthusiatic about animal physi you'll love the level of detail she goes into. Super knowledgable and helpful with questions. That being said if you don't care or skip, these classes will be hard as she goes into immense detail verbally and tests you on it.

Tracy is clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about this subject, however, her experience over the last decade I think has removed her from what is and isn't 'obvious' to her students. The sheer amount of memorization and understanding required to get an average mark is absurd and nearly unobtainable for students with full course loads.

Good lecturer. She adds a lot of info from what is on the slides, and it can be tough to know what is necessary info. Obviously knows her stuff.

Very thorough in her lectures. You need to be in class, listening and taking notes to understand but if you do pay attention she goes very specifically what she wants you to know.

She talks super fast and it is impossible to keep up with notes unless you are a speed typer. She continuously picks on the people sitting in the back of the lecture room, and frequently says "Okay i guess I will just stand here and wait until someone in the back answers my question." She is just, plainly stated, annoying.

Tracy is probably the best professor in the department. That being said, her classes are also probably the most difficult. She is an excellent lecturer and supportive faculty member that is always fast to respond to questions. Without a doubt 361 and 318 will be the hardest biology classes you will ever take but they are definitely worth it!

Marchant is super enthusiastic about this course. Lectures far from boring. She knows the topics very well. She can be very nice but was sometimes was bluntly rude towards students and the co-prof. Midterm was ok. Final exam was painful. Questions were extremely hard, even though I listened in class and read the text, it brought my mark down a lot.

She is such a kind individual, she will answer any and all questions you have, she is so helpful. However, her slides don't have much in them. A lot of the vital information she teaches verbally so you should show up for class. The textbook is a must with her!!! This class was hell as a summer class, I wish i had just taken it in the fall.

Oh man, Dr. Marchant was an actual blessing after her co-lecturer. She's incredibly involved (quick communication via email, willing to help outside of class, came to check up on us in the lab to see how we were all doing) and clearly wants her students to do well. The material was complex, but she made it clear. Clear on grading, too. A+ prof.

Tracy is more than happy to help, asking question for clarification was very helpful. She's very enthusiastic about her field so it makes the lectures light. Some of her questions are tricky because they contain certain trigger words. Textbook to supplement lectures is necessary as she goes through the basics in classes.

I LOVE TRACY! She's so enthusiastic about teaching and even though her words get a bit jumbled sometimes she explains concepts fantastically. I will gladly take as many classes with her as I can.

Tracy is a wonderful professor. She's always willing to help if you approach her, and in my Biol 361 lab, she'd stay late into the night just to answer questions and discuss ideas. Her enthusiasm is contagious, and she has a wealth of knowledge. If you're willing to put in the work, you'll be rewarded, but don't expect a good grade if you slack!

This is a decent class with a decent prof. Not terribly hard concepts but i would not recommend this as a summer class. Too much material to cover in a short amount of time.

She's a decent prof. Her notes weren't very good because of copy right laws. She wasn't able to post any pictures or figures at all. Class exams are decent. 95+ Lab final destroys the mark. Highest lab final mark was 93. awful.

Very enthusiastic teacher, loves what she's teaching and that made it easier to learn her material. Would recomend her as a teacher to anyone. Her notes available to print offline are difficult to follow so you need to attend every class

I really enjoyed tracy as a prof. She knows her stuff and is enthusiastic about teaching. Her midterm questions focused on specifics as opposed to understanding the whole picture. I strongly encourage you to memorize and study the pictures because she put a few questions on the test that were simply found in a diagram. Know the eye portion well!

Interesting lecturer, excited by the material. Posts notes online. What she puts in the notes is what you need to know for the exams. Overall, good professor and fair marker.
